Hi Bruce,

Thank you for explaining us how HGB'nG works when changing different settings. But let me correct some of your statements as they are not all quite true.
If your hedged basket hits "HedgeProfitPips" or "HedgeProfitCash" and you've set a value in them then it will close the whole basket as you've described. There are other reasons to close out though and their behaviour varies.

There is: "CloseOnYellowRangeWave" - change "OnlyCloseProfitablePositions" to false if you want this to close the whole basket.
Absolutely correct.
There is: "CloseOnOppositeSignal" - change "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" to false if you want this to close the whole basket.
Not quite correct.

Setting "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" to false won't close the whole basket. It will only close the opposite side of the market trades relative to the signal that just appeared, regardless of them as a group being in profit or not.

This means that if there is a buy signal (green big arrow or blue wavy) and there are sell trades open, they will be closed out, regardless of them as a group being in profit or not. If instead "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" is set to true, then HGB'nG will only close those sell trades if they, as a group, are in profit. Nothing will happen to the buy trades (if there are), no matter whether "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" is set to true or to false.

I was so happy to see GU trade this morning, it put a smile on my face because I was starting to wonder why this EA wasn't catching the easy up and down moves. This gave me a bit of confirmation that it can.

I'm sitting back and waiting to see how it would handle the DD now. The true test of HGBnG!

I have also turned Thursday trading on as well.

Keep an eye on Gerteje's LTF experiments folks. He emerged as something of a wizard with grids in the GW thread.

I had some spare demo capacity, so I loaded up a new demo with Gerteje's M5 setfile. This has a different HGI_Name to the version I have.
