My UCAD gained 30+pips, but I did not TP and now its negative already. Should I TP when Sto crosses above 80? Pls refer chart, thanks.

You're running it on H1. Gday is a D1 system. I *think* the EA ignores the chart timeframe and does the right thing for D1 calculations, but I'm not sure about that. But assuming it does, your stoch lines are fairly useless for determining D1 exits because they're running on H1. You need to run your stoch indicator on a D1 chart.

When Shelley runs it on a D1 chart, she exits on a 200pip SL, a breakeven stop, TPs, jumping stops, AND when the fast sto line crosses back over the slow. So *IF* your stoch was running on D1 (which it's not) you would have exited when the dark blue line crossed above the light blue line, which is about 09:00 on 2 May on this chart.

Could you please help a non-coder, of which there are many, and advise where this snippet of code should be placed in the EA?

Hi Kelisa....exactly what Gary posted is how trades are exited. Please use the D1 chart for trading.

Hi Trader689, what do you class as 'well' into profit?

Obviously if you are closing at breakeven then you have made 50 pips profit ;)
and this is exactly why I chose to exit each trade at 3 potential times to try to ensure every trade makes some profit. Nothing wrong with that  and trading on the daily chart if we've taken the correct signals a 50 pip movement is inconsequential to the market but it's enough for us to secure our trade.

This is far, far preferable to going 'well' into profit, failing to move your stop to BE and then reversing for a loss

Remember...we don't need to eat the elephant in one bite :D

So...
Exit 1 - (part 1) At +50 pips, stopped moved to BE = free trade

Exit 2 - (Part 2) At +100 pips, We're in profit already but it would be nice to get some extra, so it doesn't matter what the market does, we have some money...so let's see if we can get some more pips for nothing! If the market stalls and retraces the balance of the trade closes at BE, if the market keeps going in our direction, we close (part 2) for 100 pips and our stop is now moved to +50
At this point we now have secured +150 pips (50 + 50 + 50)...pretty nice :D

Exit 3 - (part 3) If we reached +100, we're feeling pretty chuffed and we're going to let the market run for as long as it likes...we now have a JS of 50 so we don't give back too many pips (but still gives the market some room to move) and the trade either closes at the retrace to a JS, re-cross of the stoch signals (indicating a reversal in the market) or we get our full +500 (which I have had a few times and it's very sweet  )

This is the mind set you need....Once your stop has been moved to BE, forget this trade...I do, because I know I've got at least 50 pips in my pocket! If the market continues in your direction you keep making pips, if it retraces and you get stopped out at BE, no big deal! :D

Also, if you're interested...go take a look at my thread at FF, I have posted heaps of charts where you can see lots of trades I have taken (the link is in post 1)

Just to confirm, yes this is true. Shelley's is a D1 trading system, so to load it onto another chart will lead to misleading chart readings.

:D
Read the effing manual, ok?

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
