Haha, I know the feeling. Happens to me every time I download a new version, if I forget to update the HGI version number from .05 to .07!

I always wondered if you ever got the same error and how you felt about it?

Hehe. Never before. This was the first time I used someone else's set file.

How do I feel about it? Fabulous. Dimwits otherwise left to cope alone would post hundreds of requests for advice asking why their version of HGBnG is not working. The tone of abuse immediately discourages this avalanche of thicko questions from cretins too demented to consider reading the user guide. I may have mentioned in passing that I am not a fan of morons posting at shf?

Plus, it tickled me enormously to fall into my own trap and so be abused by my own robot. :lol:

One thingy I noticed today was that hedge trades were not always sent with the correct lot size. A hedge trade needs to have the equivalent lot size as the trade it is hedging. This did not happen if the equity had dropped below the previous $1000 of equity. I will sort this out in time for markets opening next week.

Setting "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" to false won't close the whole basket. It will only close the opposite side of the market trades relative to the signal that just appeared, regardless of them as a group being in profit or not.

This means that if there is a buy signal (green big arrow or blue wavy) and there are sell trades open, they will be closed out, regardless of them as a group being in profit or not. If instead "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" is set to true, then HGB'nG will only close those sell trades if they, as a group, are in profit. Nothing will happen to the buy trades (if there are), no matter whether "OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions" is set to true or to false.

Yes, Please keep us in the loop and keep us updated on your ideas and setups. 2% to 3% daily compounded would be a dream.

Unfortunationally I need to restart the demo, since the broker [not GP, used an old demo :arrrg: ] has a maximum order limit in place, crippling HGBnG....... :arrrg: :arrrg:

The vertical dotted yellow line in the chart is 37 bars away from the current one.
I stole this one from NB's #10.6 and changed the values to reflect the semafor lookback.
For me this is a visual way to anticipate when a semafor close might be due.
Price needs to exceed the bars on the right of the yellow line before a semafor will appear.

I attached the indi for those who want it.
