The AUD news just made me 250 pips just within a few seconds :D

No news trading, just strictly 10.4/10.6 rules.

Yeah, finally my basket went in profit ;)
This week I made 'only' +26% gain using 10.4/10.6 rules , thx to Bob ! :clap:

How heavy are you trading? I'm going with 0.01 lots every $1000 and I'm ok, with a few mistakes in between :P

How heavy are you trading? I'm going with 0.01 lots every $1000 and I'm ok, with a few mistakes in between :P
A little bit heavy since is a quite low account so i'm pushing with risk, i'm trading with 0.02 lots with starting account around 450€ (now is more than 600€).
I'm planning to double lotsize to 0.04 when 1000€ will be reached , of course I don't encourage anyone to trade in this way, is just that are money which I could afford to lose.

Yes, you're trading 4 times heavier than me. I don't know if I could handle the depression of the drawdown :P. Maybe I can go with 0.01 per $500 and see how that goes.

Hi Wavegarrick, many thanks for the info, I have done that, and it seems as though anything from last week is really "compressed", this weeks data has "blossomed" and looks like it should. If it is displaying this weeks data correctly then I have no problems with the way it looks, however, if the "compressed" portion has an effect on how it looks this week then I have an issue that needs addressing...

How would I paste a screen shot (admitted technopeasant) so that everyone can see what I am talking about...Perhaps we should start a 10.4 / 6 technical thread so that this thread does not become cluttered?

Or perhaps I should figure things out for myself :clap:

Now you know why I hate trading December. Not because I am doing bad but the USA data was .7% instead of .6% and prices jumped 100+ points. SHeeeeeeeeeesh.

It's not very concise, I won't be insulted if nobody watches it.

I'm using FXCM at the moment. I would prefer to use GP but FXCM is spreadbet so tax free for me so I'm persevering with FXCM for a while. They say as ECN orders go straight through to liquidity providers...

Since I've switched to Empty4 for placing trades but since dong so I haven't won a single trade yet. I've even copied trades from Bobs trades in one instance and still managed to lose. I don't understand what's going on...

I watched price appear to go through a buy trade and not trigger.
At first I thought it was the ask difference but then I turned on the ask line and noticed that both ask and bid lines are below the buy and still no trade is triggered - is that possible? Perhaps if price jumps a little? I have moved max slippage from 10 to 6 - how do I tell if that is what is what the problem is?

This was a bit annoying... get it pip perfect on the ask but not the bid!:

Nope. I don't. I rely on the attached and hope for the best. It is a script by the redoubtable Matt Kennel whose work forms the most vital kernal of all my ea's - the order sending stuff. Start a new platform, open a chart and drag the script onto the chart. Mostly, it does a magnificent job of populating your Empty4 platform with all the missing candles - not always but mostly. It is a fabulous piece of coding that no trader should be without.

Guys, you do know that Metatrader4 is utter crap don't you? It is not to be trusted to do anything other than screw you. Use every single bit of code that you come across to arm yourself against this pathetic rubbish.

Sorry about the rant. I get a bit pissed off by the crap we have to deal with sometimes.

Let's throw a party instead. :party:
