Hi J.Alencar,

Thanks for the feedback and testing. Not a great week for me either. I have made a few adjustments. Because my settings are responsive to changes in direction I tend to get re-entries near opposite swing points and with all the news early last week it did not help either, if you have a sudden spike in the opposite direction from your trade signal it could close your trade at a substantial loss. I have done a bit of head scratching and put in a few extra checks.

Will see how next week pans out and will update here as soon as possible. Hang in.

My test was going sideways for a while. Since the last change it has a clear southwards tendency. Just letting you know.

Thanks for testing and giving feedback.

With my test which has been going for just over a month with the given set files, I had a nice upwards trajectory for the first 2 weeks and then a week or so of side ways growth which I think is ok especially in ranging markets and then last week where I basically lost all my profits. Looking back and analyzing last week, we basically had nice trending moves at the beginning of the week and then sudden spikes in the opposite direction, with the news events at hand. I just think it is impossible to capture such moves with an Ea, even with my responsive Exits. I take it you started when I had sideways growth and went in the same direction as me last week, so comparing our charts we basically correspond.

Anyway I take a bit of solace out of the fact that I am still up 490 pips after a month :arrrg: .

I am by no means giving up on this, in fact it just makes me more determined. I have incorporated some changes and have seen steady results so far this week, touch wood. :) . I will post my set files here after some testing and hopefully with stable results.

Here are how my pairs are performing just over a month period.

Thanks for the update Leon and your continued efforts. I personally think that just a week or even a month of forward testing is way too small a sample size to make any judgements or observations about a system's viability. A few months is required at the *very* least. Especially one like your recent update which takes direction from higher timeframes.
Like you said there are different cycles, big news events etc, which pan out over time. But nice to know you are continuing to tune, keep up the good work

Over the last 3 years I have looked into forex I have always found certain repeating patterns.
3 years is a short time I know, but I've already lost and won like all of us, this is all part of learning.
A good part of the losses I had was not recognizing patterns that repeat day after day, month after month, and so on.
History is about learning and remembering what was done well and done less well.
A month is a short time to draw conclusions.
Testing has always been part of science and forex is a science, not a lottery.
Thomas Edison even said that every unsuccessful attempt was not a failure he made, but the discovery of a new way of not making the lamp, which brought him closer to finding the right way to do it.
History serves as learning.
Leon, I admire your skills and effort, keep up the good work you are doing :clap: .

After a lot of effort to understand Desky (three weeks is short for this strategy and formidable tool), I finally entered my first week, I have two tests running there was one that was very good (results below), it was great how it recovered from movements less favorable earlier in the week, it's too good to be real. :shock:
The second one will make some corrections to see how he reacts.
The data is being sent to fxtestify for analysis by the great masters, please see if it was the result of chance.
I have some crazy ideas in mind but I need more weeks of testing to dare to talk about them ....

Wyatt's Pivot indicator posted earlier. I found modified version on web.
It gives daily high and low along with Pivot Range top and Pivot range bottom.

Hi Guys,

Its been a while since I posted, Many thanks Steve for your ever endearing spirit in helping others :hi: :good: I follow daily and have had nothing consistent to contribute, but see something that I want to share. I have tested this from somewhere mid december in uncertain times and more so in the mini flash crash we had recently. Uncertain times for sure and tomorrow could be even more spectacular. Who knows?

I do believe that we can capitalize on extended moves. We take the knock in ranging periods but extend our gains in trending periods.

I am also on Fx testify somehow under SPMAC. I do not touch the Ea and let it run on its own.
