Hosed – that’s what happened to Aussie dollar bulls last night with the aggressive intervention from RBA Governor Stevens who has reiterated that he wants the AUDUSD back at 85 cents rather than with a 90 cent handle on it. I got blind sided by the big move and have been hosed off myself. Stevens gave a wide ranging interview to the AFR this morning which I covered at Business Insider. The key is he just wants the Aussie lower so he doesn’t have to lower rates and I think he might be worried about a stronger Aussie picking up with global growth next year.

Another banker opens his mouth and bang. Nice job guy.

And in the meantime, the rest of us continue to make pips here. Another 59 for me today and one final outstanding trade - chfjpy - with a guaranteed 5 pips locked in.

Ok, so here my take on the future of this trade.

There is a slight pressure to the upside that might see the price test the 116.521 level.

Overnight sleeping in Europe might see a weakening to test the 115.138. Should this happen and this level be broken, then a continued move down to the 114.586 is possible.

Continued upwards sentiment might see the market breech the 116.421 levels, following which a test of the 117.322 is a distinct possibility.

Would I make a good guru, Bob? :D Would anybody pay me to spew our this rubbish? :xm:

Incidentally, the damn market had better bloody well breech the 116.521 level, because that is where my take profit for 50 pips is. :xm: I will be bloody cross if it doesn't and retraces to my +5 BE. :xm:

ehehe Steve I think you also have a programmer soul as me ;)
What I'm doing at the end is some sort of basket trading (it reminds me T101 Basket trading) infact i have a lot of orders opened from different currency at a given time (actually I have 13 orders live thus in drawdown), then when i reach a fixed profit in $ I close the whole basket and start again on next week for new opportunity to enter again in the market following edsel rules ;) So far i closed 3 week straight in profit (never happened), maybe is only luck who knows ? :D
I see you did a lot of stuff to automate 10.6 trading, I have to give a look ;)

Thx
Skyline
Hi Skyline ,

It is good to see more success using Bobs brilliant method.

Can you tell me if you are using hard stops or a basket equity type stop .

Thanks

Re that last trade, I 'Did a Bob' and closed it.

Might have cost me a few extra pips profit but I don't care.

One of the many things I have learned from Bob is this: when the profits are there, take them.

Ignore the macho twats only interested in moves of several hundred pips.

That is probably me done for 2013. A full report will follow next week.

Thanks Bob. You always dun good. You dun extra good this time.

Ah hem.

Do calm down, there is a good fellow.

Us fellows do need to take things steadily, don'tcha'know?

I mean, stiff upper lip an' all that.

Doesn't do to get excited. One might show some emotion, and that would never do.

No, not at all.

Hi Jago,

it should trigger but it will be difficult to say without watching it live or atleast in video that what is happening exactly. Also your video is private so i cant watch. its not available to public.

I want to share one experience with you and others. With my previous broker i had one sell trade on nzdusd and my TP was 50 pips and it touched and came back. When i waked up in the morning i saw that it touched 50 pips but my trade was still live instead of it should bank 50 pips....

I went to live chat and i was fighting with them. I told them like, i have heard many things about brokers and if this happen again then i will mark you as a cheater. Then my account manager called me and explain me that on sell trade, this may happens due to spreads. It touched the 50 pips line but that is bid price and not the ask price so you were actually few pips away from your TP...

So that was a really good experience i had...

Please make your video available to public so i can watch. I will try to help.....

thanks

Hi guys,

Just wondering who coded the attached stochastic alert indicator? AEJ 10.6 STO Alert..

It works perfectly - I was wondering if the author would be able to make an EA version which instead of sending an alert triggers a trade and then removes itself? I've asked Steve to help me out with this (thanks Steve) but I figure if this code does exactly what we need it to do then it might be a simple conversion to make it execute a trade instead of sending an alert.

- Usage for a buy would be to drop the EA on the chart when above the user defined level (say 80) and then it would trigger when falling below 80 and then stop trading.

- Usage for a sell would be to drop the EA on the chart when below the user defined level (say 20) and then it would trigger when rising above 80 and then stop trading.

Also, is this indicator taking into consideration the 60, 240 MA's as per the filename?

Thanks!
J

OK a problem with a STO EA is that the STO signal line can move above and below the signal line several times during a 4H bar. That is why we take a signal and then set the trade with more momentum than just the STO. Now I solve part of that problem by using a SMOOTHED so it is less likely to move around as much. But whoever does deal with STO EAs must have a filter placed to stop that from happening or you will be taking a bunch of losses before the move. So you need more than just the STO, you will need a filter.
