One thing I noticed working with FB is my need for some kind of news filter ea.

One that knows when major news releases are coming and that has an option to have it automatically disable all trading on Empty4 at some set number of minutes before and after a major news event. It would also be nice if I had the option of telling it to close trades at that time.

Does anyone know of an EA with these parameters? It would certainly help with my low TF FB's.

This is a good one but you have to buy it for about 50 bucks ..you can trial it for 30 days to see if its what your after before buying it...

Thanks for your help. I was kind of looking for the free options available. Maybe it wouldn't be hard to code with ffcal or something similar.

Just so you guys know, FFCal is notoriously unreliable - probably because the website it gets its info from is unreliable.

We went down the FFCal route a few years ago. It was not helpful. I am not going down that route again.

You don't want to trade during the news, turn the bot off.

That's exactly why I was hoping there was an ea that would do it automatically.

This one uses the Myfxbook feed which is much more reliable Steve ..I agree about the FFcal ..total shizer

The one in the link ...you wont find many free ones offering 4 feeds (ForexTSD,DailyFX,MyFXbook and the dreaded FF)..I have looked around a fair bit but settled on this one..It has tons of options but is unfortunately not for free..

Just woke up now and chcked the close of Friday and the Week. Friday i was really surprised to find a 350 pip net total closures for the day to end the week at 700pips oh yeah!!

FracBob does it's magic alright!!!

NewsFilter - I thought about this too, but after going through some of FBOB stats(last 60 days) at Myfxbook I concluded it isn't necessary, but putting it in will automatically skip 1hr or more(trading on H1 TF); might be a good thing. MANY Thanks....one Great EA
