I have this order volume error with HGI EA. The EA has been successful adding one percent over a week or so and closing many losers on the way. I think I would have more trades if this error were not stopping the trade calls? Any input is appreciated. Thank you Tommaso!  |

There's something I don't seem to understand or probably am confusing myself. In the latest edition of HGB, Steve added a Stochs filter to help us avoid entering trades wen the move is over. What I don't seem to understand is the stochs conditions for the trade entries. I would like my trades to open when the Main of stochs (K=7,D=2,S=2,Method=2,Price=1,Mode=0(Main)). Sell when Main>=OB(70) Buy when Main<=OS(30) :youknow:  Something like this... I hope the logic is clear... |

Hi Guys, Could you please confirm how the "Double Moving Average Filter" = true, controls trade signals/entries....I seem to be getting buy trades when 60 ma is below 240... Is this correct...? I'm using version 1f Regards Wiggy |

I recall Steve saying in the instructions that the relationship of the two MA's was irrelevant. That confused me a bit , so I haven't used it. It seems to me that it should be relevant. But I've learned that with some experimenting, the what and why Steve programmed something usually becomes apparent after some use.

Thanks Wolfgang, Yes, my understanding is that the relationship between the two MA's is irrelevant, however price needed to be above both for buys and below for sells......I'm seeing orders taken when price is between the two MA's which based on the Steve's description ranging.....at least that is my current understanding.... I'm seeing an issue with V1h that I thought was gone for good... The dreaded quick open and close of trades. I haven't had any of these since Steve rebuilt HGB. At first it was just one pair, so I closed the plat and cleared variables, ( didn't stop it) Then I lengthened the time span of the signal check to 10 minutes. That hasn't helped; and now I'm seeing it on several pairs, which is causing quite a drain on my account. I'm using the same set file that I've been using for weeks, with no problems until V1h. Is anyone else getting this? Please check your history, as it's easy to miss because they pass so quickly... |
