Post subject:  Re: Baluda Indicators

Hi Paul,

I am running MPBM 1.03 with BigMac 'n Fries (also testing MultiMac). I have set the Magic Number in MPBM to the same as in BM & Fries (123456789) but it isn't picking up any of the trades. I have removed, re-added, recompiled but no joy. I am probably missing something obvious and dumb but any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave.

Post subject:  Re: DWM Pivots extension. Re: Baluda Indicators

Paul,

Thanks for the clarification. Just by accident there did appear MP once in one of the pairs I looked last night :)

Now would it make sense to include a second text line in Show Order that shows the alignment of DWM Pivots and Daily Open (DO) and Price (P)?

Perhaps then the DWM Pivots can be edited out of the first line. The text lines can also be reversed in order, with Pivots, P, DO align first and then DWM S/R and P alignment. It certainly doesn't make sense to keep elongating one text line. For further details like pip offsets and other conditions (e.g. MA aligns), users can always look at the relevant charts. It might be too much work to include DWM Pivots, S/Rs, DO and 3 custom MAs in one indy.

Athar.

Athar,

ShowOrder only displays the 3 lines directly below and over price.

New version DWMPivots, v1.0.4 in post 2. Changes:
  • Added daily open
  • Added user settings for line style and width
  • Added order option without S&R values
  • Added order background option to show signal strength
  • Adeed user settings to include distance and value in S&R extension lines
  • Added Fibonacci levels for current day at daily open
This one is mainly for use with 10.3.

May the pips be with you,

Paul

Hi Paul, I have attached the last version of DWMPivots, but I don't know why I have a problem with Monthly Pivot. This Line is displayed only for November month and beyond that (the previous months) I could not see any MP Lines. Any idea ?

Hi Paul thanks for the 10.3 indicators. I do not know if this is a problem or not but I get different colors showing using Multi 10.3 and DWMP for 10.3 v1.04. example USJPY. Both params. are the same as far as I can tell. Just wanted to know why the colors are different. Thanks

Paul

I have been totally enjoying using your currency slope strength indicator applied to individual pairs.

But today, I noticed something strange looking at the Gbp pairs. Specifically the Gbp "strength" was different between different pairs. See the Gbp/Jpy and Gbp/Usd below.

In all other cases it seems that the currency strength is the same, regardless of the pair.

I have checked all the settings and done lots of experiments but it comes out the same.

Is this correct?

Thanks

CMeade2,

'Correct' is always debatable.

Use of 'showOnlySymbolOnChart' disqualifies use of symbols that do not have one of both currencies. In your example AUDJPY is not weighed in the first chart but it is in the second chart.

How can you tell whether it is weighed?

Also, how do you fix the problem.

CMeade2,

If you look at GPBUSD all symbols which have either GBP or USD are used tot calculate GBP and USD's strength. Other symbols (EURJPY, NZDCAD etc) are not used because (theoretically) they do not contribute to GBP's or USD's strength.

There is no fix for this problem because it is not a problem.
