That is my beef with the Slope true, it is not different than other indicators like the awesome and macd, in fact most histograms. What made the TMA slope and letting it repaint you get to see how the trade really set up in the past and how it is slowing down. In other words the change in the slope is seen. That is not true in the true slope. It will be later in the week when I write about it and what it really should be used for. Again it was never meant for entrances and exits but strength of move. The repaint one gives a much better picture of how the move strengthened and is now weakening or getting stronger. The TMA true fails in that point. Anyways that argument will be needed to be taken to another thread.

Pivot Points - Daily (Shifted).mq4 is what I used and am trying to automate the process.

Can we PLEASE refrain from passing judgement on what careers who and who doesn't need to be involved in? Everyone has had to come to this same problem again and again, and I for one want to fix it once and for all. Of course someone can put it in there manually. But you know what? If they don't know how, they can learn, they don't have to not be in Forex. Those kinds of remarks are totally uncalled for.

Since you must know a lot more than me, just a five-year Forex noob, maybe you can explain to me when I put in the Shift to get to Eastern time, my pivots look nothing like what they should on no brokers (aren't correct on no brokers)?

The last pic (latest time), which uses my code instead of the default code in start function, does show FXDD correct.

Why are the rest of the brokers wrong and even FXDD wrong when I just use the shift input on indicator you posted? Since it's just as easy as putting on an indicator and all is made common for us all, then it must be me who is doing something wrong (see the pics), and you must know what I'm doing wrong, so please do share.

Otherwise, like I said before, the indicator you posted, which I referred to before, saying I was using it as my base and I needed to fix it, means the indicator you posted does not solve the problem. That hasn't changed just because you posted the indicator. It's still not right. Any CONSTRUCTIVE input is welcome. Any put-down or any garbage talk is really not welcome. I think we are all here to further develop our understanding of Forex, anything related to Forex (including open times), careers in Forex, and if someone is not here for those reasons, they just need to leave. I'm sure Bob and Steve would agree. But I'm sure you're not like that. I'm sure you got something important to say. So let's hear it. I got questions. Can you answer them?

I found this gmt settings to be confusing...for now I only put my pivot on Cowboy IBFX US demo like NB original setting and just run my trade on separate Empty4. This way I can accurately cross check if I got a setup triggered (same level of pivot and open). Not to disregard other ppl effort, I try to keep one setting to test for long span of time to "get" the system so I will stick to Cowboy IBFX US as my reference.

EJ EU GU GJ still going nowhere far from DO....got itch at my fingers LOL
adding sell GC S1 only (edited: my bad...turns out S1 already been passed I mean DS2 7 pips to goooo...)

i don;t trade the other pairs due to wide spread at Alpari RUS, not because there is no setups. :?

You are not alone. And the fact that people are talking about GMT offset and DST vs Eastern Offset (DST is not important since Forex close/open is 17:00 year-round as far as my experience) show ignorance of what is even the target we are aiming for. This is my whole purpose in doing the work I am, because of the confusion that exists, confusion that I didn't create, confusion that should not exist, but if I get my indicators correct, then it will all be automatic so should not create confusion. If totally automated and correct, all you would have to do is place the indicator and internet connection would do the rest for you.

Hi Don,

I'm not trying to put anyone down. I posted the indicators with the intention of helping.

However it is one of my pet hates (and I'm pretty sure Steve thinks the same) that without exception, when a strategy is posted online which involves some sort of sensitivity with regards to time, there are always loads of questions about gmt, bst, est, broker times etc.

IMHO, people should be able to figure this out very easily.

Forget gmt, est etc....

My platform is at LONDON time plus 2 hours.

Therefore, NY close is at midnight ON MY PLATFORM (or 10pm my local time.

The pivot shift Time is therefore zero.

The pivots display correctly on my platform. If they don't on anyone else's then beyond saying what I've said above, I can't really assist.

I, along with everyone else on here appreciate your coding,but please don't take it that I was attacking you. That was not the case.

I sincerely don't want this thread to disintegrate into an argument about time, or anything else for that matter!
