Yeah, that's the species to be vveeeeeeerrrrryy careful of. Do upload the code though before you leave, if possible.

I'm building up a separate code from the hacks of this EA for a style I described few pages back. It's basically banking all 10.5 trades and two 10.4 trades and let rest 10.4 trades run in Trail mode (something like BBBE - 10.2 & 10.3 combo). I wish I knew more of coding.

Well done - can't wait to put that feature through its paces! At one point early last week my demo was up 7% only to see it gradually reverse back & lose most of its gains.

Nowhere near your results this week on my end, due to 1.07 & 1.08 not placing any trades. One of 1.06's (with my aforementioned bugfix applied) pendings finally entered yesterday, a eurjpy short that's currently 50 pips in the red.

Hi Jürgen, Andy

The idea of a browser based display is very interesting...

What would be the mechanism for periodically updating the display in the browser?

For simplicity and reliability just clicking the reload button doesn't introduce any unknowns.

There are 'smart' ways to auto reload a local file with HTML5 & JavaScript - but could be issues with compatibility and security settings, therefore it could be a headache to support.

If the the EA generates HTML say every minute and user clicks reload just before the next HTML file dump then the users view would be over a minute behind the live data - not necessarily important when working to H1 & H4 or even M15.

Thinking ahead a bit, would users of the EA like to also change settings through a nice user interface?
Would it be useful to have independent settings for each pair?
I am thinking of creating a GUI which can do these things through a common file like set files.
A lot of my Pacific and Canadian trades seem to go bad and it might be a question of specific times, SL and targets or other setting specific to some pair and not others?

I would find it useful to be able to set a closer profit lock-in when a pair has moved a long way from the MA and could reverse at say MP-S2. For example, AUD is looking over bought at MP-R2 and RBA has made noises about it.

What if you see some trend lines and want to specify no trading above or below a certain price
or within a certain price range?

Or should we stay with simplicity - set up a basket of orders and wait for profit to be greater than loss - grab a profit and then start again?

Anyway, it might be useful to pause for thought before taking things further...

Hi Slipshod,
understand your pain with equity reversal. My target like Bob is 10% pm so I hit 2.5% with 1.07 R 1%Stealth use both for pull back ,close when market reverses, use average BE all set to True by Tuesday and by today it was -2.5% those pesky cadjpy and ausnzd pairs too close to 240 so leveraged up and the rest is history. Moral of the story careful around holidays, don't be greedy when you reach your target get out, extend pips around 240 not to trade, if your working 8 till 8 use tool that supplements this EA and protects equity retracements (without compromising 10.4 strat) - I believe 1.08/9 covers this or do you still use MPTM, MPBM belt and braces? Hi Brian,

There is a setting in the EA, that stops it taking trades when the entry price is more than 2 X ADR away.

I've added a feature where you can set the % takeprofit and added a trailing stop in % terms, so we can say if we are in profit by 2% then lock in 1 % and trail, this feature has kept me out of 2 draw downs so far.

Best Regards

Hi Andy,

Is there a way to take profit when the ADR(10) for that currency pair is reached? Example: ADR(10) for E/J is 201 so when 201 from the total range(not open position) is reach close trade....

Also is there a way to add-in positions space by a certain amount of pips? Example: Once initial position is open and price action is heading in profit open a new position every xx pips...

Thanks...

Hi Andy,

I'm very impressed how fast you adapt new ideas, but still remain true to Bob's ideas.

Kudos!

Andy,
excellent addition based on scenarios that some currencies behave differently at beginning of week compared to end of week. Like idea of give the trade breathing space to run further but lock in profits. Good addition for the more risk adverse.
