Did Analysis two Frdays: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/patmont ... m3/1004439
*** Analyze by "Open Time"
1) October 3rd (very high volatility, MANY HiGH impact News)
*** 1% basket TP = 3 baskets closure || avg duration = 1day || expectancy = 4.0pips
2) October 10th (less volatility, Few Medium impact News)
*** 1% basket TP = 5 baskets closure || avg duration = 2h17m || expectancy = 9.1pips

I'll put it in...filtering EUR, GBP, USD. Haven't done it since CF_HEX
*** I believe using MPBM "AdaptivePipTakeProfit" = 6.5 is better; as you acct/balance grew, and LotSize stay constant basket will tend to hang on to trades/orders longer to reach the 1% mark.

To be honest, and from my limited experience, I don't think an automated news filter works for a strategy like this.

With multiple pairs and multiple trades per pair, you will always end up with some trades open during news that were opened hours before the filter kicks in.

You will also end up missing a lot of trading opportunities which will impact the overall profitability.

On the H1 charts everything you have written rings true. This is accepted lore and true for this amazing bot.

I am trading on a "lower time-frame" and I need a filter to shut, close existing positions, and disable trading before news events because I am trading a "lower time-frame" and fractal signals are fast and furious.


Time filter ea requested and...needed....needed....needed.

Please, H1 people this isn't a statement of fault for H1 charts...just for my mod.

I understand. It might be worth a try but you'll need an "insane" amount of winning trades/baskets to compensate for the early closing of positions (in negative) before news, the positive trades/baskets missed by not trading during several hours, and, I'm assuming, the tight TP.

Nothing like trying, right?

Are you trying that in the Kamikaze account in your signature? What lower time-frame are you using? M5?

That's why I put in a fixed $-value instead of pips, amount related to 2% of starting balance.
Works like a charm.

d4amenace Just looking at your H1 28 pair account it did fantastically well this week compared to mine. Are you running non standard settings or is it just the fact you are running 8 more pairs? Maybe my idea of pruning jpy pairs wasn't a great idea after all.

I must admit I have had Empty4 issues this week so not 100% trades have been taken correctly.

Hey D
I would suggest using Equity sentry like Getting used to do for Cf Hex as it will close your basket after the last take profit before the news and then turn auto trading off..its like mptm but with the option to turn auto trading off or shut your platform down..your basket will have to hit the TP first though ..Stick it on another chart and turn MPTM off and it on when you need it ..

Could that great bot grab a new (optional) function to trail pips ?
Instead choosing a % for closing, let it trail the maximum pips.
Steve, maybe you can insert this indi code inside the bot: as the stock PSAR suck (if you set your own setting preferences, Metacrap reset them to the default ones :arrrg: ), so i'm pleased with that custom one:
