Hi Friends, Can you please share your view on these charts on the WavyRangeStart on GBPJPY. I was assuming that EURJPY & GBPJPY has some co-relations to each other and expecting to some sort similarity on the Alerts. |

Hi Guys, I find it hard to interpret the signals on the NZDUSD 1H. To an extent, Signals are on the opposite side. Entries on the RangeEndHigh would have stopped out and 2nd RangeEnd Low Stops out and TrendBuy gives TP after 3 Bars. Is this correct, can any experts comment on this. I use HGI17.0 (Hurst Off, 200MA Off). |

This will be my only answer to this, so do not ask for more information. I am replying only because I ignored your pm to me earlier in the week because I so not see why I should waste time handing out info to one person instead of lots of people. This is really hard for people to grasp, and I have a limited amount of sympathy. Only limited mind, so stop being wet and pathetic. HGI works in the here-and-now. It does not care what happened one tick ago. You take a trade based on an HGI signal, you take it on what HGI discovered at the tick that generated the signal. That signal can disappear at the next tick. You will not know this because Bob wants the signal to remain on the chart - he trades this stuff live remember - so the HGI does not remove the signal. You want HGI to behave differently, then take it up with Bob. He is usually kinder then me, but do not rile him with arrant stupidy; you will not enjoy the experience. Now, here is another bit of info that ought to be fucking obvious to anybody but the most stupid, but appears to elude your average dimwit. The only information a historical candle on our charts holds is this: open; high; low; close. Often described as OHLC. Think about the myriad of information that historical candles do not contain. Ask yourself about anything. If it is not the OHLC then the candle knows nothing about it. Then we move onto indicators. They hold no information at all. They work with the OHLC of the stored candle data. So, you look back at those charts loaded with HGI and see those signals. They are the signals that would have been in place at the close of the candle. HGI might have created 40 signals during the course of the candle. You will only see the one left at the end of the candle. Bob traded the signals he saw at the time, opening and closing trades as the signals emerged. Hells Bells, let's take Stochastic that so many people put so much faith in when looking back in time. Ye Gods only knows why - ignorance I suppose. The data that Stoch works with when looking back in history is the OHLC of the candles in the chart history. The damn thing might have screamed up and down like a homicidal elevator during the course of the candle, but at the end you will be left with value at a fixed point in time. You will not know what Stoch values were during the course of a candle. Doesn't matter a flying fuck scalping the M1/5, but imagine trying to backtest the D1. Oh, and all of this is before we start to discuss the irrelevance of the price at which the HGI signals are drawn on the chart. You think they have any relationship to the market at the time? Dream on. Conclusion: Stop pissing about looking back at historical charts and start using HGI as it is coded to be used - in the here and now. You want something better, then here is how to achieve it:
Or, you could take the more obvious route: do some reading; do some thinking; stop being a total tit. Yes, I know this is a thread where total tits are supposed to be allowed to be total tits, but there are times when it is best to be cruel to be kind. This is one of them. I am starting to wonder whether these beginners' threads are really doing anybody a favour. Maybe a sink-or-swim approach might be kinder. I need to think about this. |

An easy question: Will anybody, please, tell me the MAIN difference between HGI 17 and HGI 16.7? Which one do you recommend? All the best! José |

Thanks! I have done it. Another question if you do not mind: Does HGI work within the 1 H time frame as well as in the 4H time frame? All the best! |

jmmn, There are two threads (and many more but I only follow these two) HGI & HGI for beginners that you should have read and understood. Asking questions on this forum that have been answered many times over, will result in your privilege to post a question being revoked. Of course everyone (well most) are willing to help you, IF and ONLY IF you help yourself first. Please read both threads completely before asking another question. The question you have asked depends on many factors that are discussed throughout the threads. RM |

Hello, Well, manual read, 47 pages of HGI for beginners read, on page 50/220 of the regular HGI thread (Phew!). I guess since I had finished reading the 47 pages of the thread HGI for beginners, I wanted to thank everyone involved with the creating of the HGI indicator A big thanks to Bob and his team for making this a free indicator as well. I have traded on and off for 10+ years and have not seen an indicator that I could have such confidence in just entering trades. I personally was wondering.. How am I going to trade this? What SL and TP? What about timeframes? Why are people bothering with their 15m, 1hr and daily TF? Why doesn't people just trade it like it's been designed? Anyway not that any of that matters, people develop their own methods and I hope you ALL make LOADS of pips. Personally, I am forward testing on a demo a 30 pip SL and 30 pip TP on signalled trades. What is my reasoning behind this? When I saw in Bob's regular HGI thread that his trades are approximately 90%, I thought to myself: "I'm not a greedy person, lets just work the stats out" In 3 days trading I have had 11 winners and 4 losers. Today 6 losers, 2 winners and one open trade. I think I have a lot of forward testing to do and see which pairs may be more profitable as well as understand the signals a bit better and may not take them all and use some of my actual trade experience to come in conjunction with the indicator. NONE THE LESS..... *** Thanks You Very Much Everyone *** Hope you all retire as rich forex traders! Happy Pippping! Dan |

Lovely to read this, Dan. I am thrilled that you are finding success with HGI. Many, varied and wondrous are the ways of trading successfully with HGI. There are straight HGI traders; people who combine it with other indicators; grid traders; hedge traders; hedged grid traders; scalpers; day traders; trend traders. You name it. It would be difficult to trade with it and lose money. I consider it to be the outstanding product of this forum and regard Bob, Tommaso and Elixe as nothing short of Gods. |
