I put 1.08 active on Monday. Monday was a big pay day.
Since then 1 realized loss on cadjpy, and further -3% down.
Do you have similar results or do I need to check my settings (OOTB)

I think Andy has made a mod in V9 to cancel pendings if price crosses the MA. I'm yet to do that in the code but I've at least made a mod to not send any more pends if that happens, and to give it room for bounce, I've thrown in 10 pips more. For pullbacks, instead of MinPips2NextSR, I've done for at least 1/3 of the move to next SR.

I'm really so pissed at my self. I came in late on Monday and put the EA. Since I missed the PAY DAY, rest is not a happy event. None the less, I'll survive to trade another day.

Hi CT,

Good to have you back.

I've had one running all week and the results are looking good, I have not had the feature that prevents the EA taking trades, to near or to far away from the EA switched on.

On Wednesday I added a feature that will trail the profit by %, so if we say at 1.2% profit, trail 1% behind, so all the time you have 1% to play with.

I don't think it's possible to drop an EA on a chart then leave it, the trader has to keep banking as he goes.

With reference to the drawdown, if your not stopped out at the MA or when the AO changes color, looking at history on the charts, trades below or above the monthly 2 ma, should continue.

I'm going to release 1.09, later today, I've hooked in Jurgens optimised screen code, so members will have a choice, which best suites them.

We can look at adding another method of taking profit.

Also is there a way to add-in positions space by a certain amount of pips? Example: Once initial position is open and price action is heading in profit open a new position every xx pips...
I think the idea of the 10.4 system is to keep adding at the different pivots, I'd like to keep the EA to the 10.4 stratergy and not add anything to the entry ideas.

But the ADR, could be another option to takeprofit.

1.09 on page 1.

Added Jurgens Screen optimization, nice work Jurgen.

When you first put the EA on a chart, you will need to let the EA load, the change timeframes, this will initialize the EA, you will only have to do this when you first load the EA, if this setting does not work for you, just change the
extern int GridMethod = 0 change to 1 to go back to original.

Look in the settings section you will see the trailing stuff, if you do not want to use this feature, change the number to 0.

Check the settings before you turn the EA on and make sure you have the Magic Number set correct to manage your existing trades.

Thank you, MrLong for V.1.09, will try this next week.

The week started with a bang and ended with a whimper ! No new trades yesterday. My Cowboy IBFX 10k hands off demo now has a floating drawdown of 2%. Two trades still running, may yet turn positive if the trend continues.

The way to go, as MrLong pointed out earlier, is to bank profits on a regular basis, or lock in profits with a trailing stop.

Andy, you are a hero! Thanks so much for getting this done before your well-earned break next week :D

Edit: Once again though its not creating any pending trades for me on a fresh demo, either MIG Capital or Alpari. 1.06 started at the same time (diff magic #) has 4 pendings. Tried it OOTB then with deletePendings disabled, switched Stoch for RSI, turned off whatever filter booleans were true, but no dice yet. Will see what it does next week.

Edit #2: After half an hour of nothing happening, I restarted Empty4 and immediately 1.09 opened the same four orders I had open in 1.06 :)

Just modified my post above, didn't realise you'd replied. Trades are being placed.

I'm not sure why it took a restart of Empty4 to make it happen, but I'm too tired to wonder about it right now. Also I'm having the dashboard only show AUDCAD with nothing to the right of it, and have to change timeframes for the rest of the dashboard to be populated. So long as it trades well though I'm happy :)
