@darshanag FastTMAline, same as Al. In fact, I´m using a mod called 'FastTMALine dual', but only with aesthetic purposes. I can do a little enhacement of the lines adding a second color for the border with a gradient effect. Absolutly useless but fancy. I have tried ATR for a month and I like some points. It works very well in low volatility pairs (EURCHF, etc) and it doesn´t repaint. Anyway, there is something in TMA that gives some predictive hints, as in CSS slope. I like how TMA determines the dynamic range. I don´t understand in depth how triangular moving averages act. I think it gives more weigth to the last candles mesured acting that way as more sensitive to changes of speed. As I use CSS slope to chose some promising trades, it seems more coherent to adopt TMA than ATR for dynamic range purposes. And, last but not least, as I live in the same town than Al, choosing TMA seems to me a sign of respect towards such a distinguished compatriot. |

@zentauro67 I too use "FastTMALine" within my charts. I actually use it for the 1h, 4h and daily time-frames. I was wondering if you know of any dashboard that would let you know if price comes within a certain x distance to the upper and lower "FastTMALine" lines. This would save me time in monitoring multiple charts for price action to come close to any of the TMA lines that I have set up and I prefer to watch them all in one spot. Any idea if anyone has created such an indi? Thanks.... |

@traderdesk I´m not sure if such a dashboard exits. I know there are several TMA dashboards published in "Extreme TMA" Al´s thread in FF ( http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=343533 ) but I have not tested them. It should be useful to know what pairs are beyond the Weekly TMA (as GBPUSD, NZDUSD, GBPJPY recently) to catch early reversals. It seems as if all the pairs that were beyond the weekly TMA last week are now reversing. that´s why I consider the weekly band the most important of all. A recent example of price collapsing against weekly TMA in 4H: |

Staedtler made it clear in this thread & another he didn't find any value here, so I have deleted his membership. Yamez, I have also deleted your post as it no longer serves any purpose. |

Hallo Bob, Your insight and work are superb, thanks for your continued contributions. Is it ok for me to discuss price/pattern-based setups in your thread(s)? I would love to be part of the active discussions Thanks |

Trading is what we are all about. So we discuss trades, especially if it ties in with 10.7 reads. I prefer to take a back seat at times and with the sale of my school and closing up school I have very little time for comments. So talk about trading. |

I wish Steve well but back to trading for a bit. USD is about ready to cross the CHF on CSS daily chart, however, what do you do when the market has gone all whacky and is out of its ranges for your chart? See usd/chf. |

The daily chart shows us that we are in a good reversal or at least a dip if usd/chf is going into an UT. It is at its decision point and will it break up or down. You buy and you could find yourself on the wrong side of the trade for hundreds of pips. You sell and USD could break into a nice new UT. Dragonhead wants you to believe eur and chf should go down making he USD go up but so far they havent taken action. Yet the big boys may believe he has no choice but make the eur go down during the summer. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm How do I make sure I get on the right side of this?? |
