Yes those alerts are quite annoying. Even if you have alerts set to false and re compile the solar winds indicator, the alerts still come up. Something I did try was to delete or comment out line 132 to 151 in the code. It compiles with 3 errors, but the indi still seems to work and don't give you anymore alerts. Have not tested it over a period though to establish if it is a fix or not. Perhaps some coder will be able to help.

Hey Leon & Co,

here is a version with alerts turned off by default. I only changed the extern bool DoAlerts in line 17 to false. I didn't change the name of it to not interfere with Leon's UBD setup.

With my limited coding knowledge I suspect that the above lines of code could be the cause of the continuous alerts. Crumbs hope so

Thanks, however even if you set line 17 to false it still gives continuous alerts.

I would probably have spent 10 hours trawling through code I do not understand, instead of taking your simple route. You saved me a lot of pain.

Hey Leon,

I have tried the version at my end and there weren't any alerts anymore after editing line 17.

Please delete the old compiled .ex4 file of the Solar Winds joy indicator and restart Empty4 with the new .mq4 file placed in the Indicators folder, I uploaded. Alternatively, you can do a right click in the indicators section in Empty4 and choose refresh instead of restarting the program. Both actions lead to a recompilation of all mq4 files that have no corresponding ex4 file. The problem here is, that Empty4 doesn't recompile a .mq4 file if there already exists a corresponding .ex4 file...

@ Steve: I was only able to solve the issue that fast since the alerts annoyed me and I had already turned them off that way two days ago. I just didn't know that all the others at SHF were upset by it, too

Hi Leon,

I donot let HGI running on open charts, all alerts come from the USD setting. Pls see the pictures as below, I think it need to turn off HGI alert in .mqh file before loding USD set., but there is only .ex4 file for HGI.

I had some time to investigate your problem. Look at Thomas's post above. "USD has a built-in HGI (using the HGI library)". Therefore look at your Usd indicator_ name setting. You have it as HGI_v17.00. This is wrong. Your setting is reading from the indicator and not the library. You must type in "HGI" only. I am sure this will solve your problem.
