Haha, you're right, but there is more good about this strategy than bad and I just keep coming back to it :lol:

Ranging/choppy markets is what was hurting the strategy, so I am trying to find a way to reduce/eliminate the trades taken in these types of markets.

I will keep monitoring manually for a couple of weeks but I will let you know if I think any further developments would be beneficial...I am hoping using the rsi will make a big difference.

If ranging markets hurt this strategy, how about adding Slope and only trading with the trend?

Shelley, I have looked at the code for Gday.

In terms of my recent development as a coder, it is geriatric. It would be better to simply start again.

Sing out if you want me to do this, and give me a spec to work with.

Latest version of Gday is in post 1. It will show up on your charts as version 1, even though it isn't. I developed the habit of showing version numbers after first coding this.

Coming up is Dieting Gday. Now that we have Slope, there is a lot of stuff in Gday that we do not need - Hanover, CBI, all those trend-detection routines etc. Also, there is the conversion from working with points to pips that has come about in recent months.
