If your offline chart is not being updated, you probably are not running the renkolivecharts_pimped_v4_13.ex4 EA on a H1 chart, as per the BMG3 instructions. The function of this renkolivecharts EA is to create/update an offline chart with an imaginary timeframe of M13. As long as the gold price is moving and the renkolivechart EA is running, this offline chart will be updated. You install the indicators and EA on the offline XAUUSD,M13 chart.

I could not leave it last night until I got it up and running ( cost me 2 hours of less sleep ) , great system I have to say :D

Now I have a screen shot for you to verify it. As when I select an offline chart from the file drop down menu , I get no M13 , I get only M2 which is working fine ( blocks are irrelevant of time I guess?)

The great thing also which I like to share , I have both SUPER HEROES ( HGI & BMG ) open for GOLD and I will cross check each before taking a trade.

The RenkoTimeFrame parameter in the renkolivecharts EA (see below) determines whether you get a M2 or M13 or M-whatever offline chart. Check your settings in the renkolivecharts EA.

Total idiot (and klutz) here.

I'm trying to figure out how to work 919gilead's text file for MAD-EA into the set file I've saved from MAD-EAv1.3.ex4. text file is below. EA is seen here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=4590. Or am I just supposed to go through the EA and make the changes one by one? if so, no biggie, but it seems like there ought to be a better way. Can I get a little help?

I would try renaming the file from .txt to .set, then load the file into the EA. The load button is located under the input tab once you go to EA properties.

good idea, thanks, but nope, didn't work. i think i'll just give it a go manually, see what happens. or maybe the text file is just a sub set of the set file and needs to be substituted in some fashion. i'll try that next.

well okay i answered that question myself, sort of, just by waiting for someone else to do the work for me back on the thread. not my preferred mo, but it'll do this time around.
meanwhile ... how can i tell if i've got the EA up and running properly? i had the MAD-EA going last week -- it fired off a bunch of trades that led to a bunch of FIFO errors and a bunch of overheated button clicking on my part. ever since, i get no trades going on and i don't know what to do about it.

i have auto trading on. i have allow-lived-trading checked on the EA's properties window. and in the settings, i have make buys and sells set to true.

i am using the attached set file.

thanks for any thoughts you might have.

Check the ea is actually running. It can look as though it is loaded and can have a smiley face but be stopped. The time displays on the charts is not there because I think members lack clocks, but so they can check the thing hasn't stopped. Is there anywhere in the MAD display that updates often? If there is and there is not updating, then the bot has stopped.

Check the journal and the experts tabs to see if there are any errors reported.

You may want to lower the time on this input as well.

TimeBetweenTrades=7200 This is set to 2 hours before it will trade again after a close.

Of course if you haven't had trades since last week this will not fix your problem.
