I have not noticed such problems. Is this with your Empty4 demos or with others on this post?

If you are referring to the people who have chosen to close trades manually, and then EA opens a new series before reaching extreme (>70 etc), then yes, this is a bug (refer to equity stop usage). I have another trader helping me for a fix, and this should be sorted in the next week or so.

If you are experiencing your own problems, then please make comment here, and me or someone else can help.

Sorry I can't be of more help,
Regards, Charles
Hi Charles,
I have uploaded 3 examples so you can see what I mean. In all 3 charts the RSI extreme >70 or<30 have not been reached. BTW there are more currencies where the same happened.

Here is another very strange scenario.
We have a sell series but its closed at >70 instead of <30.
Take a look.

Nice one Peter !
Thanks for looking in detail into the trading results of this bot.
This EA is doing a quite good job for so far - it became even a favorite for now - never expected this at the start.
So - Charles, could you plz clarify the mentioned obesevations ? :hi:

Hey Guys, hello Charles,

I ve backtested the EA v 1.5a and encountered the same odd problems. Perhaps it has something to do with our backtesting data? I will start forward testing tomorrow.
But would it be possible to code a semi automatic Mod of the Grid EA without a trading logic attached?
E.G. : The EA opens a trade long or short (user setting) at the very next candle and then starts the grid trading in the desired direction. When the EA closes the positions it stops.
This way we would be able to test the grid trading logic / and close of the EA much better.

Thanks,
tex

Hi Charles,

Please see the following strange trade, it got opened on 18 Jul and then closed today and opened a new one at the same time.
This trade was in profit more than 43 pips but it did not close as the RSI did not reach the 30 level
So I have two inquiries here
1-Why it close the first position and opened another one at the same price
2-Can we have a signal for entry and another for exit meaning that I can enter a sell when RSI on 70 and exit when 40 and enter a buy when RSI on 30 then close when RSI on 50

so instead we have RSI parameters for entry /exit we separate them

HI All,
Sorry I did not get the notifications that others had posted on this topic, even after being subscribed to the topic, grr, as I would have answered you all sooner.

1. the bug in the system that closed trades prematurely, is a real problem as I don't know the answer, and can only guess. Maybe a set file issue is causing this as I have not experienced these problems before. Maybe different brokers platform's don't like this EA or the set file.

To Peter - UMMM, I see your problem but am unsure as what is the answer. There is an obvious problem I see on your chart as you don't have the 'on screen info' active in any of your screenshots. See muhammadbadawi and his/her screenshot for what it is supposed to look like (re screen info). You must have the 'equity stop function set to true' BUT set too fiercely (like 1 or 2 percent), so the equity stop closes out the trades all the time, as this EA needs lots of room to move. My equity stop function is set to 10% so only once in a while it gets hit (see below for my thinking).

To AGT - I am pleased you think it is ok, but read up my message below as I am thinking different now after a few weeks.

To Tex - By all means try and create an ea with this logic, but bear in mind this EA's beauty is that it only loads extra trades after bar close and not per step (as accurately).

To muhammadbadawi,
1. I don't know why, as this should not happen, maybe trade station closed and re-opened causing Sebgrid to start up again, thus closing first trade and re-opening another correctly at RSI 70.
2. Simply put - No, can't do that with this EA without much coding skills (which I don't have), and since this EA is a decompiled version it can't be publicly helped here, only by PM or email sorry.

Hi All again,

I thought a new post would be necessary as I am very disappointed with my findings of this EA and the use of the 'equity stop'. After having fixed the equity function it works well, and some may say tooooo well, as over the last 4 weeks I have suffered form 4 stop outs which has killed all profits!!

This has lead me to believe that I am happier to suffer from a bit of draw down rather than the equity stop being used all the time (4 out of 15 pisses me off). So, in saying that I am going to set my 'equity stop' function to FALSE, and test out the draw down theory from now on as the profits are being eaten up!!!

So, please find another Sebgrid EA attached which you can use it OOTB (out of the box and no set file), which has the equity stop function set to false, step set to 10, and the lot multiplier set to 1.25.
If there are some who want to try for themselves as per the equity stop function for 'peace of mind' then PM me, or use previous version of EA, BUT after seeing some of the problems I would recommend creating your own set files, and not use my ones I posted on an earlier page.

The screenshot on the first page is on the results of this EA, with 26 (I think) currencies with a 5K start and equity stop set to false. My thinking about controlling risk would be to reduce the number of currencies to 1 per $200 of capital or 1 per $300 of capital UNTIL the capital has built up. My set up with 1 currency per $100 of capital is probably too risky but I shall stick with this and see how the draw down goes over the next month or so, as this was how my live accounts were set up ion the last few months. AND, just to add it was not the currencies that blew up this account, it was the GREEDY introduction of the commodity 'GOLD' and how GOLD does not retrace like currencies do.

Hope that explain enough for now, and sorry for being very helpful.
Regards, Charles

Hi Charles,
because I like this EA a lot I started trading it live on a GP real account yesterday with 28 currencies and 2600 EUR.
Equity stop is false but I do have MPBM on 30% of equity.
In my opinion the trade opening and exit outside the RSI-extreme is part of the logic even though I don't now the logic. Maybe some of the coders here could look at it.
Anyhow I put lot factor to most of the currencies at 1.5 and step 10.
EURNZD 1.3, 20, EURGBP 1.75, 10, EURCHF 1.9, 10, EURJPY 1.25, 20, GBPJPY 1.2, 20, GBPAUD 1.25, 20 and
GBPNZD 1.2, 20. All other currencies 1.5 and 10.
Currently I'm up 54 EUR and floating -88 EUR.
Looks good so far.

Greets to all
Peter

HI Peter,
That is great news you trading this EA live. I want to trade this live soon as I get some more money in my pocket that is not being used elsewhere!!! :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg:

As for the RSI and the extremes, I don't quite understand where the problem is here, as the EA trades from extreme to extreme and keeps trades open in between, and I haven't used the trailing feature as this would usually kill the trades before they go extreme as did EURNZD and GBPNZD twice today!!!. I guess what I am saying is that you have to be patient with this EA as the extremes do get hit, so waiting is the key. I think there must be a few impatient people out there is this EA does not need help (as you know from your results so far) from interfering fingers
Getting caught chart watching is always tempting to close early, so I just take note of the 4hr candles and when they close so I know how the EA is going, and NOT before.

Many thanks again for taking the risk with this EA, as others may follow your lead and confidence, and be sure to store away your profits week by week, so if trouble comes at least you are prepared :-).
Regards, Charles.

P.S. Thank you for your set file info as others will find your set up most useful.
