Hi, when you say that you start your trading day at Tokyo session, how do you handle your open trades the hours before that?
I guess not all baskets would be closed before Tokyo open.

volumeprice I hear what you are saying and you make some very valid points.

However the system (at the moment) has a big weakness. The W1 candle, for such a short (4H) trading time scale the W1 on it's own is just too stale. For that reason the system requires some breathing room.

Having said that a 90% SR on 3% is not too shabby at all.. Kudos.

Hi,

I have set my basket to delete all my open and pending trades on 3% TP or SL and then disable the experts. Since i reach TP each day, at Tokyo session , my system is clean and ready to start another day. fresh!If ever i still have open trades by then, im am ready to close it all. I never had to do that so far.

Hi Zennor, did your emergency 30% stoploss hit this week.
Your myfxbook shows almost -50% this week.

Yes unfortunately the basket trade did not shut at 30% but no worries plus as mentioned earlier I had the lot sizes all wrong.

Lots of changes going on to refine the system. Steve and I have been working on a system specifically designed to trade this system with far more functionality.

Remember we are using an EA designed to trade the longer Trends and the higher time frames. Whilst it is quite evident from the replies on here that most people are doing pretty well with that a bit of fine tuning won't do any harm.

You are probably right dudest. I remember now I have read that post in Captain Jack's forum. But I got this problem even during middle of Euro Session. I thought the fox start its stop hunt during US Session? Well, news could widen spread too. Anyway, a bit off-topic, but I have been following your posts there in CJ forum and you really inspire me. Keep it up.

Since trades not closing is probably caused by spread widening, I think there is nothing we can do about it. I switched to simpleAllPairBasketManagerH because I thought Equity Sentry have a bug for not closing the trades. I will switch back to it. I like Equity Sentry's money SL/TP instead of percent. I think a percent target is a disadvantage because, if the system keeps hitting 3%TP, the target money next day increases. With same lot size it becomes more difficult to reach.

I still prefer that the basket manager to close the open trades first before cancelling the orders though.

i have a question about equity sentry. say i set a equity profit money as $x dollars, does this refer to only floating p/l or equity gain (ie balance + floating p/l)

so say i want it to close at $300 gain in equity, ie balance + p/l. eg my account started at $5000 .the trades the EA has taken and closed amount to $100 , so have now i have $5100 balance. but the open p/l is $200, so equity on the account is now $5,300. that is when i want to close the trading EA down... can this EA do this, and if not is there an alternative that does?

I analysed my trades from 26th March up to and including 2nd April and you might be interested in the results. Of course it's a small sample size but worth keeping an eye on going forward to see whether the pattern holds.
