As I had not tested this EA on the EUR/USD, I tried your setfile untouched. The grid opened along with the TP positions. In this case, the EUR/USD took all the buy positions and closed them all according to the TP setting. A fresh grid appeared and the TPs were set in the newly fresh grid.

My ECN broker is Tallinex and the spread is dynamic as it is an ECN.
(currently above and below an average 3 pip)

You got me confused, first you wrote the 2nd grid didn't have TP set.
Then you wrote the 2nd grid did have TP.

The last would be right... :smile:

As for the ECN, Yes, 3 pips. I know it's a lot. I am wondering if this is normal for their dynamic spread or whether it is only like this because it's a demo account.

I would change to GP immediately.
Averige spread for EURUSD is 0.4 pip, with 0.7 pip commission.

Is there still an order open when the 2nd grid appears?

It's hard to tell as the second grid opened a while ago but I would have to say yes.

In the tekst-output from the EA, above the mentioning of the open positions [x-buys, x-sells] is a line with the totall number of trades and the DD/ Updraft. If this line starts with "hedged position", no TP will be set.

Below the open positions is another line, when a hedged position is in place, this reads "HedgedProfitPips", when this is in place, it also means there are both buys and sells opened -> no TP entered.

Just an off the wall comment.

When I first read this thread and saw Steve's comment about "FUN", I kinda shrugged my shoulders in my mind and thought to myself "YEAH RIGHT..."

But now that I have loaded this one up, I must admit... IT IS FUN! :party:

GW's emergence as a serious trading contender has taken us by surprise. It has emerged as one, so I have developed him (her?) further in V 1e in post 1.

Spreads are crazy when the markets open after the weekend, so I have added the stop/start trading hours from HGB'nG. 24 hour local time as usual. Questions about telling the time are banned and will be instantly deleted the moment I or any other passing mod sees them.

I noticed on Friday that the sell stops in the starting grids were being sent further away from the buy stops than I wanted. This resulted from the time delay built into the grid order sending functions. I allow half a second after each order is sent to give the lamentably poor Empty4 crapform time to catch up. A grid of 10 buy stops took 5 seconds to send and the market was falling a few pips in that time, causing the sell stops to be sent a greater distance away than planned.

I have remodeled the code so that it sends alternating buy and sell stops, with a brief pause after the sell stop only. This should deal with the problem. It is easy to remodel the code further so that it sends the initial pending grids starting with sell stops if the candle is falling; let's watch it and see if this is necessary.
