As you can see in the code, I have temporarily out-commented the second option for closing a BUY and a SELL at the same level (as this was costing me lots of spread).

Have fun.
Thank you very much!

This goes down to level 7 on the flowchart. This is the level where the highest sell closes with the loser at the bottom, or the lowest buy closes with the loser at the top. It has worked happily on my demo.

Rinse 'n Repeat

Hello everybody, first of all I want pay my respect to Mr. Hopwood as I'm a old fellow of his magistral work, second I want thank Mr. Remon for his genial idea and his good will to share it with us.
So, straight to the point. I think that the EA developed till now focus specially on the grid factor, but the big new issue of the Remon idea is the "money management" of the grid...the idea of create two virtual "boxes", Remon call them Shared Profit and Non Shared Profit, Mr. Hopwood in the first (and better till now) version of Rinse and Repeat call them Profit Box and Slush Fund (but I'm not sure about the way he uses to calculate them). We can call simply Accumulation (the real saving box) and Distribution (the slush funds used to close the losing trades).
So, back to the original Rinse and Repeat. The EA has everything we need already, but must just change something. First of all the EA must open in the meantime BUY-SELL orders at the grid level since the beginning (now the first order is a SELL). Second: The EA should fill the two virtual boxes in the Remon way, that means, when the EA close the first "winning side" trade at the first retracement of 10 pips (as per the Remon video method 1 closing the bigger winner and the first loser trade) of course we cash all the amount but the EA must calculate the cashed amount, subtract the spread (specified in the settings, but this is optional) and DIVIDE by two, then put HALF in the Accumulation (or real saving) box and HALF in the Distribution (or slush fund) box. The EA, then, when try to close the losing sides of trades must check THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS IN THE DISTRIBUTION (or slush) BOX...not in the actual equity of account...as soon as the funds became availables in that box the EA start to close the biggest loser minus the winners of the lose side....exactly as the Remon's video show. Than, once the ACCUMULATION BOX - DISTRIBUTION BOX value reach a predefined amount the EA...rinse and repeat from start.
Another important feature to add to the original Rinse and Repeat is the DD control of equity, I think is already coded but coz we can fix a maximum amount of equity, but for some reason not work.
Sorry for the prolixity

You are looking at a point directly in front of you, whilst the point you should be looking at is 180 degrees in the opposite direction. Go to post 1, read my brief comment there, follow the link to the relevant post and read from there to here.
