Trend trading is easy on the 15M chart. NZD trending strong up USD trending strong down. EASY trades just follow the GREEN ARROWS and keep reentering the trend every session until no more green arrows. Piece of cake.

GBP/NZD NZD STRONG UP, GBP STRONG DOWN.

CSS lets you know where to go look. 15M trades are a snap each session. Cant ask for better info than that. Keep trading those red arrows until they stop.

There used to be an EA that would trade once then stop. You could use a MA line to enter, is that still around?

Talking about NZD, keep in mind that there's an interest rate decision tonight ;)

Do you stack a number of new trades on each new green / red entry or is each new green / red arrow a new stack point for only one trade on its own

thank you Bob for your reply. Yes, although knowing news cant be predicted, i was trying to see what is not there :arrrg:

After the event you see it but before the event you would not know this. CSS no matter what timeframe would not predict an unknown news event.

1) For daily trading pair picking purpose, how do you interpret 0 STOP sign of daily CSS?

Under normal circumstances it's the stop sign. No strength. The CAD has been there for a while now.

2) When a pair shows clear change in direction, how do you analyze whether it is change in direction or just a minor pull back other than +-0.2 and 0 line? By the time clear trendline is available, it seems too late...

The 0.2 lines help define the difference between a strong trend vs a weak trend or range period.

Again and I repeat myself. You are trying to get an indi to define/predict a news result. It can't neither can any other indi. If N. Korea drops a nuke on Japan no indi is going to know that. If Japan suddenly decides to not raise a sales tax, the markets will react and then the indi will react. It may change the direction for a couple of days or a week but not the long term fundamental direction of a currency. Long term fundamentals only change 1-4 times a year. (See my notes in my 10.4 or 10.7 manuals on long term trends) Don't get into trying to analyze news events on an indi. They can't predict news events. doing an aftermath study will give you a false sense of what an indi/EA can do. The Brexit is a once in a lifetime event, treat it as such.

Hello Bob,
I am reviewing your trade in my chart and found the Big Trend Change arrow, second left is gone in my chart.
May I confirm your latest setting for HGI?
- ignore future (default false)
- keep history (dafault true)
- 240 filter (default false)

I am facing challenge even in demo. Although big arrow shows up, I am hesitant to get in if candle is large, I know its strong move but potential whip. in previous 10xx series I thought you do not wait for candle close.
Therefore, I wanted to confirm with you.
For CSS + HGI (mainly 15min entries early session) do you wait for candle/arrow fix when taking trades?

You cant trade out of fear. Make your lots small enough so there is nothing to fear. Then when you trade without fear make your lot size bigger. I trade .10 cents for every 1000 dollars. That means I would have to lose 10,000 pips to lose my thousand bucks. That aint happening. So I can trade without fear.

I have 400 bucks in my account and am trading dimes. I have been out for a year so working my way back in. Once I am comfortable then I will put 20K or ??? in an account and do some serious trading but will trade 40-50 cent lots. So I would have to lose 40,000 pips to lose my account. You can only learn by live trades so trade in a way that you dont fear. If you have a 1000 bucks and trade one penny trades you wont lose your money and you will learn to trade without fear. I do my homework so when the arrow comes up I trade. Doesnt matter what HGI does after I enter a trade I now manage the trade.

A big arrow in the direction of a CSS read will almost always work unless there is a sudden news story. So adjust to a point where there is no fear and trade. :cheer:

Hey long time no see. Hope things are going well. Just got my new 17" laptop and hooked it into my Iphone so i can use the internet anywhere to trade. Now have to figure out how to get push notifications to work and ready to go. Gonna take a couple of weeks working my way back in so here we go.

Thanks for the heads up on interest rates but dont expect any changes at this time. If they do will be an exciting day.

Not right now. Just got back in after a year off so need to get that market feel again. Maybe later down the road. The problem with stacking and USA broker is I have to close inorder and that is something I may not always want to do. So looking for a broker but happy with Oanda now.

Just found out today Cowboy IBFX closed up and is gone. Sad to know, used them for years.
