Hi Ymleong,

I'm not smart enough to know how it will work when you use one of the trade manager EA's to handle your TP for you working in conjunction with Peaky. My brain likes things really simple.

I'm doing it the old fashioned way. My default chart has the ATR in pips indi on it, so when Steve's ultra cool DFC Dashboard opens a new chart, I'll eventually stumble across the chart and just change the TP on the Peaky EA on that chart from 100 to whatever my ATR in pips number is on the screen. Just a few seconds and I'm done.

Cozy i will rather do what u did, open 2 demo and test it out rather than muddled it up
I guess that u did it on daily basis since u base ATR off 1000 periods?
Would definitely want to c whether peaky can survive a 15m shorter TF to gain pips. I kinda of like 15m as well as 1h.

I ran the 1 hour demo in Global Prime before going live mid last week.

The 15 minute I haven't run in a demo, but I will have them in different accounts because I'm in the U.S., so each account will have its own DFC Dashboard set to its TF. The 15 minute will be running only on six pairs live with a very, very conservative money management.

Also, because I'm in the U.S., I have to set the trades to constitute a basket to 2, which is fine with me.

When you're in the US and can't have Global Prime as your broker for live trading, you're never sure how demo results will translate to live with a US Broker, so I'll consider the next three months to be my advanced testing of the 15 minute Peaky.

Pls keep us updated, if peaky can survive US trading rules, then we should be lining up in a bank waiting for 1M to be withdrawn into steel bags with a handcuff on our wrist + on the bag's handle and 2 guards at each side

I should have noted, one other change on the 15 minute TF is that my pending trade buffer pips is only 8. There's a lot less space between the Sixths lines, so I'm not waiting as long as I do on the 1 hour chart for a trade entry.

Just something I need to add here. Some observations with my tests. When Peaky has reached a peak high/low it consolidates or shall I say could consolidate. It will go down and look as though it is going down and trigger your buy/sell stop but retrace and could even make a new high/low leaving you with a drawdown. It may even range for a week or more. Absolute patience and more patience is required especially when you are dealing with the 1Hr timeframe and above. It is not for every kind of trader. Whereas some strategies capture momentum with quick in and out pips, peaky capures the top/bottom with a consolidation period and a breakout to trigger your stops, something to be cognisant of.

That could be the missing ingredient so many traders lack....patience, but having said it beats having me buying at highs and selling at lows, I have been guilty of this many times over....Patience and more patience and I just confirm what Steve has repeated so many times. ;)

I have faith in this strategy.

Cheers
Leon

If you are new to Forex trading, print out Leon's last post and tape it to the bottom of your display. Every time you are about to buy high or sell low out of panic, re-read his post first. I am coming on my fifth year trading Forex, and it has taken me this long (mostly because my brain is filled with concrete) to begin to make money and embrace patience and be ready for Steve to bring us Peaky.

Every big loss I had in Forex, and I mean every single one, was due to selling low or buying high. Pick any chart and scroll back through a few years data. You'll find a spot eventually where Peaky would have really had to bide her time for a while and had a bunch of trades open at once in drawdown, waiting for the market to come back and behave itself. That is how patient you will have to be, but Peaky will reward you. :D

Bang up job Steve. I'm still scratching my head on this EA cause it just works.

I had a question regarding alerts. Would it be a good idea to put the symbol name right behind the order ticket? I ask because it seems like it would be easier to see the alert ticket number and symbol then head straight to the chart with this type of EA where many charts/orders can be open.

If it's a terrible idea just say so. You know what you're doing.

Best,
David

P.S. This is a demo account so it's NOT a report that anything is out of the ordinary.
