From what I can see the daily for the AUDUSD we are at -1.083 on the TMA Slope. For us to start taking longs it needs to go positive. If the trend suddenly changes up we may get stopped out of shorts we took at the bottom while the daily was still saying to go short but this shouldn't be too bad because of all the pips we gather in a running trend.
When price goes way out like that you will see a battle bewteen the bears and bulls before a reversal. This causes the slope to come back to its zero line so unless there is a real unexpected story of major proportions you wont see V trades there. You will see double bottoms/tops, H&S, 1,2,3 swing trades forming and the slope indicator will be saying to you, look what maybe coming up. So I start looking for them and sure enough they begin to show up.
If the D1 is >= 0.8 or <= -0.8 and we have been on an extended run, as others have mentioned there's bound to be a retrace however that doesn't mean that the trend is over. We just have to pick our spots and enter on a deeper retrace.

I suspect that on a retrace in a D1 Strong Downtrend, we will see H4 WOH get bullish until selling pressure from the D1 trend is strongest. It could be considered mean reversion (IMO scoobs post on GBP = fundy translation of mean reversion).

The slope seems responsive enough that we should be switching to range trading when the D1 starts to flatten into Ranging Downtrend Bias with memory that we were in a Strong Downtrend previously. Fading weekly R1/S1's seem a reasonable strategy rather than the cross of the 5.X MA. Stops can be tighter (other side of R1/S1 with some offset) and less risk as a result.

Admittedly, I still need to practice SRF trades to get a better understanding however I am in the AUDCAD SRF.

Hello all, and hello Bob :)

Like everyone i'm making a killing since i discovered the 10.2 and want to thank you for the AMAZING work behind.

But i read all i can, and nobody talks about stop loss, which is essential because it's that we keep trading day after day.

Let's imagine like in the gbpjpy now, we take a trade at the end of the trend, and the market retrace, what we do ? We wait for indicators turning, if so we can wait a long time and taking 200 or 300 pips easily in the face.

I just ask to the experts !

May the force be with you.

It's Friday afternoon here (just before London open)...just got home and checked my trades...approx 300 pips up, so I've closed them all.

Total pips gained since starting trading (that's 8 trading days) with NB 10.2 = 2085

I think this is the funnest time I've had trading ever :geek:
I shall now be spending the night watching the footy and enjoying a nice Sauvignon Blanc ;)

Thanks Bob for your continued developments and sharing :)

Post subject:  DASHBOARD

You know I have been going on like an idiot for a need for a dashboard!

Well, Jemook, had a good idea in ff. Here is his post:
"
.... Although the auto-trade EA triggering trades with tiny lot sizes is almost like a dashboard :)
Crodzilla is the dashboard king. I've messaged him to find out more about 10.2 and if he likes what he see's he may help out."

We can put Steve`s EA on D1, 4H and 1H charts in demo. Have the mt4i utility email alert the trades and then we can decide if we want to replicate it in our main account. It is not as good as a dashboard but saves going through 50+ charts, scanning for setups. I am going to set it up this weekend and see how it goes.

Just my 2cents.

Kind regards

SL has to do with what kind of trader you are and your idividual tastes. The typical trader will use the last swing high/low or pivot/S/R lines. I prefer to use large SL, low leverage, and low lot size. You would not believe how many trades will go into profit, in other words your original analysis was correct, if you let them become profitable. That places my SL on the other side of weekly and monthly pivot lines. As long as price is on one side of both, my trade has a very high percentage of making it to profitablility. Sometimes I have to use a 2nd position to make a profit, for example first trade will go 100 pips down but will bounce off the pivot so I take a second position that will go 50-70 pips. My first trade will still be a loss but the 2nd trade more than makes up for it. Once price goes back over both pivot lines I really dont see a need to keep any losing trades, unless I feel the fundamentals will reverse it back soon. So SL really depend on your view of the market, how you trade, and lot size to account size. I trade so that no one trade can really damage my account and the piled up winners will profit. The bottom line is my SL MAX is about 1% of my account.

Hi all you traders, good to see the hard core of the Nanningbob clan here.
and thanks to VERB to mention this place on the web in his message on FF.
I'm still making an amazing 15% in the first two weeks of may, just trading 3pairs to get a good understanding of the reads coming from the system.
All looks very promising, thanks to all of you who contributed to the versions NN.0.0 till now
special thanks of course for Master Bob himself who is able to share all this.

Merci all of you.

Hans.

LOL--I sent a message to Phover who did a great job on a dashboard for an older system of Nanningbob's hoping he would take a peak.

Let's hope he is interested. He is brilliant.

I took some live pips today, playing the EU rejection by the weekly pivot. The trade went far enough to hit the 25/10 before retracing. It has powered back up through the pivot since, but I won, so that is ok.

Also in is a slightly sickly looking chfjpy sell, inspired by the D1 sell and hold value and a rejection of the weekly pivot followed by a break of the blue MA. Followed by a quick reversal back over the pivot, obviously. I have moved the stop a bit closer, so we shall see.

Also in a gbpcad sell, following a break down through the weekly pivot. I probably shouldn't be in that one, as the market is above the monthly pivot. We shall see. If it goes the other way, I will stop and reverse.
