Excellent explanation mobthehop! Thank you for that. So, I guess my strategy is using an average of “Moving Averages” So far, it worked for me…let’s see how it goes. Cheers! Bunker |

Bunker - thanks - but just to be clear that is zznbrm's explanation, not mine! |

And a nice and quick 20 pips on purple pivot. But I keep it (démo). I wait the next arrow ... And (+ 20 pips ---> BE + 2 pips) |

!? That makes no sense. At least as I understand it, the TMA is a two-sided LWMA that looks into the past and the future. All implementatons of "TMA True" that I've seen are just the left (past) half of the TMA, which is an LWMA. An LWMA most certainly DOES use a smoothing algorithm. It's a moving average, which by definition is a smoother. LWMAs weight recent bars more heavily, as compared to an SMA which weights all bars equally. But they both smooth the input signal. Maybe he's talking about another level of smoothing on the "previous" value? I.e. on the value that's compared to the current value to calculate the slope? I don't have time to research this now but I'll have to go look at zznbrm's code and see what he's doing... |

Hello, Sometimes there is a big difference between entries. Example this morning on EU H1: - Green vertical line entry Buy = TVI Rocky, with settings 8; 8; 8. - White vertical line entry Buy = Bunker's Cheers jf |

Another example. On the first graph we have Bunker's entry, Buy (on vertical green line). In agreement with the general direction. And no signal on TVI (settings 8; 8; 8). One hour later Bunker's entry turns out bad. (Meanwhile there were news positives for the USD. At 2:30 pm). So maybe as TVI is more reliable, I say only: maybe. It would be necessary to verify on the longer term... |

Hi Bunker, Although somewhat new to 10.2 I have read everything on FF and lots of the stuff on this site. I was interested in your ideas and would like to ask whether you have looked at the different slope values between H1 and M15. My interest in these levels are because I like to spreadbet and prefer to be out of the markets at the normal days end, relax enjoy life and sleep well at night. Regards Allonso |
