Started a new crim, 5 Dec, Global Prime with ratio 1:100 , this makes it hard for the EA at this ratio.

thanks for the tip, i must tell you though that any crim should at least let you run demos forever to try and win you over. All my demos are like that and mostly on 1:400. What happened with that particular demo you quoted, was actually one of the very first when i started building up my demo list. It was a year ago to be precise. I had lost track of time, and with out notice, the demo was 'cleaned' off the crims servers because of the year-long rule, at the time. If they keep cancelling my demos, i would be looking for another crim, so i think they caught on and now most try to keep you with them forever. As long as they are used, they keep working.

If i had kept track of that and alerted my acct guy, he couldve saved it, but only managed to stop the expiration on the rest. Thats what i'm told now.

I'd recommend one or two crims myself, but i can tell you the guys i use are not 'there' right now. There are just so many out there and i prefer the larger ratios like 1:400 or 1:500. I'm starting to experiment with crims now, so keep an eye on the 'crim' field in the demos. Sorry, forgot to mention that Global Prime is a test to see how the exact EA works on this crim and at that 1:100 ratio. Just a different test so we can better establish how the EA trades under different scenarios.

Hi all, please be patient with me, catching up with all my notes from the speed-wobble i had the other day. Will probably only get upto date by the end of the weekend.

Things on my list so far,
  • 1- update Give me your hair, Scalper10.3
    2- sort all xmeters upto date with v229 and different settings on each.
    3- Re-look at slopey slope, it seems to have hit some SL's that it shouldnt be able to do, i thought i removed all.
    4- check-up on FR and settings.
    5- Update SImple BEast after JL's ammendment of code from snoopier, and relook at settings based on results.
    6- update Charley boy, and clean up results and old EA's from platform showing on FXpageBOOKthingy.
    7-check up on what new EA's to add.
    8- and finally try not to blow another live account.

Hi all,
busy updating accounts right now with some new EA's. Double BM and Steves Bells and whistles is top of the list. ALso updating live accounts, new Xmeter versions and system, etc etc. I'm also onto The8 EA by RJo and i'd like to have another bash at GDay M2 by Shelley and Steve.

FxPageBookThingy seems to be off-line for updating the history, so something's switched off there but will do what i can for now.

Most EA set files i intend to place in the 'general' tab and explain the hedging, as space is becoming a problem in the tab.

Worth a special mention is Trendy Gary, since turning up the volume there he has shown nice growth. Remember its a full-blown 100k account so 7% growth is quite something to behold.

On a sadder note, Slopey Slope seems to have hit the skids this last month and would like to hear thoughts about this EA before maybe dropping this.

10.2 by Al3xx has had a great comeback from the trending market, but still not well into profit after all these months. One version or set file has a growth of over 2k, but will elaborate more in its thread. Same with Multibob 10.2a and 10.2. Dont know if its worth carrying on there. Lets see if theres any platforms left after changes and we'll see what stays and what goes.

DEMO LIST ISSUES WITH UPDATING from late December

Hi all,

KevinT, thats a really nice curve, i agree with AGT, lets hope for a nice , smooth, green arrow pointing UP for 2013. :mrgreen:

Okay, Thanks to Paul, i noticed a lot of the demos have stopped updating since the 24th or the 21st of December. Looking into it and will obviously try to get this going ASAP. Waiting for fxthing's web support team to look into the issue and reply.

Hi All,
having serious problems with ava criminal and my demos. about 80% of the demos are with ava and i also have 5 live accounts with them with hard-earned, real cash, but it seems they dont want my business. The live accts are working fine though and all the other crims' live and demos are also fine, but not ava's demos. Here's a quote from a post on Trendy Gary i just posted there.
I am also having great difficulty getting all my demos from ava to update from the 24th. Fxbook tells me they are not receiving a signal from ava's servers and ava tells me its something ive done. I have changed nothing and the passwords are as they were from the beginning. I have tried changing the passwords manually and connecting again, but no luck, i have also tried forcing a re-connect to force the update, but no luck again.
It appears they dont want me running so many demos so they've canned them. I'm afraid to say this info will be lost if they dont allow the investor passwords to work again. My demos are running just fine on the PC's with all the history showing but I dont know if they can change what they've already done. This is what i know so far.
FXbook history is safe as it is now, so i'm not closing the platforms for fear of losing the info we already have on the various EA's. Lets see what the new week brings for us, i will contact my acct managers at ava again and will be closing my accounts with them if no joy.
Please be patient with me while i try to sort this out and find a new 'home' for them. Trying to keep the history is first priority right now.

RANT: Better spread demos AND LIVE ACCTS across several c r i m i n a l s then? (unless you are losing in which case damned :twisted: twisted evil Market Makers (way cheaper trades) won't be needing to make all of us lose :cry: ) Bucket Shop Story part II... :evil:

Really happy to be able to post this. i think i have found a way around the crims server issue with my demos and the first one i attempted , worked.

Fxbook has other ways to connect, so figured it out this evening and when i get time will start to load them all up again one by one. There is a fair amount of catching up to do with updates and change of settings so please dont hold your breathe, not Craig style, but maybe a week or two to finish and update everything. Will do a few every day.
really glad to be able to keep all the info rather than lose it all and having to start all over.

Bulls 'n Bears was the first to get the new treatment, right at the bottom of the list. The newer ones will come after Bulls so Bulls will eventually be nearer to the top. I cant arrange as i like, thats just the way FXpage book thingy is/works.
