The purpose of the RAD arrows is to let you know the move still has legs. That means you look for the best place to enter a trade or keep the trade you have already going. |

Unfortunately I cannot be glued to the PC screen all day, so I try to catch the moves whenever I have 5 minutes to check the charts. I present here 2 situations where I got confused because I don’t know what signal is the last one, since both are in the same candle. Is there a way to fix this? How would you react in those situations? |

Hi Bob, Steve and all the "magicians" that created HGI - I have already told how you have resurrected the price action trader that I used to be and added my thanks to the chorus. On the 2nd of December I deposited a £100 to a spreadbetting account I haven't used for a long time so I could trade GBPAUD - today 7 trading days later I have doubled the balance using HGI. All of you who understand the power of cumulative interest will know the significance of this. It amazes me how many professionals don't know the answer to the question how much can I build if I double a penny everyday for 30 days. That isn't the real reason that I am posting these results though - as I only had a small balance I had to choose carefully which pairs to trade. I looked for the thick arrows, thought about ATR and volatility so chose GBPAUD, On my larger account I had already thought about the impact of the sudden event - news announcement, whatever - but had not really paid attention to correlation. With a small balance that suddenly became ultra important. Now I am wondering if by combining the HGI matrix with a correlation matrix, could this be used as an early warning signal to close positions in highly correlated pairs? As our trading year comes to a close, I will start exploring this further but it is an idea that needs to be tested live. In my search around the internet, I came across the following graphic - I understand this is aimed at picking up unusual moves. Does anyone know if it has any validity? |

This thread has moved to its own sub-forum home. I hope this has not caused any confusion. |

Yes - 4H TF using MPTM to move to breakeven and jumping stop. In and out, harvesting trend. With increase in balance, also trading EURAUD and GBPJPY |

I have also found that my MTPM HGB demo has done better than my parallel 4H straight HGB one. They were neck and neck for a while but some moves last night sorted that out and the straightup has given back a large portion of its takings from the past couple of days whilst the MPTM demo has lost comparatively little. However, Steve has just released a HGB-MPTM module thaht works in conjunction with HGB which sounds as if it could be a god-send for these major retraces and not having HGB re-open positions after MPTM closes them out. I will let everythin run it's course this week and start afresh next week. Oh yeah, MPTM settings are as follows: BE at 35+10 JS at 30 Global closure at 2.5% (not triggered yet so I changed to 1% this morning) :youknow: Edit: I am also setting up a D1 HGB demo next week with OOTB setting except range trading will be disabled. Looking back over both my HGB and HGI demos this week (along with the results posted by a number of other members on both threads) it seems that range trading, whilst sometimes leads to good positions is often more hassle than it is worth. The best positions tend to come with buffer8 wavy lines appearing in conjunction with range arrows. |

Nope. It stops HGB opening new trades whilst it is closing the current position. Once the current position is closed, it releases HGB to take more trades. If HGB spots more trading opportunities, he will take them. Please read my documentation with a tad more care, or let me know if said documentation is not entirely clear to a fluent English speaker. With regret, there is nothing I can do to help non-fluent English speakers. |

I'm posting charts for the USDJPY Daily and USDJPY 4HR. Notice the wave line with large up arrow on the Daily chart. I believe this indicates that the pair will be resuming its UT. Please let me know if I interpreted that incorrectly. Not sure because the wavy lines are on top not on the bottom. Its interesting that the USDJPY 4HR has a large down arrow. I suppose one of the two will be incorrect. |
