You can look at Gertje mt4i in his signature, that is more or less 10.5 except for yen pairs

Alternatively, another ways you post your trades and then we can help u take a look and see where it went wrong :)

Still can't figure out the info page CSS, will take a look, at pipstubborn post to see if I can make heads or tails of it. For now it's 10.5-CJ for me. I might start a separate thread if there is interest in this. I see great harmony between both systems and have yet to find that magical pot of gold, got a tiny pot of coins for now.

My main concern with 10.5 is the dd. due to the sheer number of trades, even at 2c per 1k, the dd can go up to 15%. With cj my dd is as good as nil and I know my SL point which is at most 100pips away, sometimes the 240ma is very very far..
i belive the dd is small.. because .. when you enter at gold rod.. and you buy.. if the rod turns red..its time to go OUT... and vice versa for sell... if you follow how bob trade.. he do it line after line.. so if you buy.. and it turn out green.. your good..

In profiles I have 104
I deleted half the charts but the chart window still says "waiting for update.
I have also gone into options and reduced the max no of bars to 5000.
Any suggestions as to what the problem could be.
I am not a newbie to Empty4 and generally know how to load all these things.
Thanks
In the upper left hand corner of Empty4 there is a box with a green up arrow and a red down arrow. That is market watch. Click it open and it will open up a side bar on the left side of your screen. Go to a chart that is updating and drag from the market watch that pair to its screen. In other words drag eur/usd onto the eur/usd screen. One of the bugs of Empty4 that has never been fixed.

Also in the original folder on page 1 post 1 in the script folder there is a force history download. This will help your charts load faster. Just go to Navigator.. scripts and drag it onto a screen. It will try to speed up the downloading of information. Navigator is the button with the yellow folder and yellow star. Just click on it and you will see the side bar. Go to scripts and choose the history download.

Correctly marked out fib lines for USDJPY, on the Monthly chart price stopped at 38.2 and 200 EMA.

Yaaaaa....Its no big deal man. Just follow the rules. Here are 2 of them. Entries at the White arrows and lines. I scaled in twice on A/C and N/J Once. I just take them to the next support/Resistance.

Was wondering if you would do me (and perhaps other relative newbies) a favour by posting one of two charts of the pairs you were successful with last week, indicating where and when you entered...whether single or multiples. Even better if you want to annotate some of the entry points i.e. your rationale.
Gertje, Jemook - likewise you guys if you feel inclined!
I suspect there's a few of us who understand Bob's stuff but are finding the leap into successful and consistent results tricky...usual combo of discipline, patience and MM!
Good weekend to all.

Now, keep in mind, I do things a little differantly. I am more of a longer term trader and I will put my stops back a little farther than most people because I choose to let it run a bit, however, I will pull profit immediately at the next crossing sup/Res, whether it be W1, W2, Mid pivots....whatever, a smart man gets in and out. I shoot for 2.5% per week and if I get more I use that as a cushion and a time to relax. For instance: Week before last I got 10% and last week I got 20%. I figure, if there isnt a clear cut trade this week I will have no problem sitting it out, and if I have 0 for this week I still have a 10% average for the 3 weeks.

Are you suggesting we are heading for a reversal of USDJPY back below 100 and further down ?

Notice the CSS shows CHF gaining strength and USD losing strength in the past couple of days

I've also cross annotated the 10.5 USDCHF chart with some CJ PA comments
USDCHF.PNG
Notice the beauty of 10.5 together with CJ PA, the lines are the typical pit stop of the foxes only when they want it to be, and how they put pins right at the lines as well so sucker people in.

PA already foretold the weakening of USD and strengthening of CHF on 17 May, CSS only picked it up a while later. the 240 MA, well its always been the slowest of the lot to figure.

Now as bob mentioned, price typically goes to WR1 or WS1.

So if you were playing pure 10.5 rules, you would have only put in buys for USDCHF till now, and even then i believe some of you guys would still be thinking of putting in buys as per 10.5 rules (crossing of DP, crossing of WP is almost impossible at this point)

or you might be confused with the CSS and not play this pair (since H4 CSS is red, RSI is flatbottom)

For me, here is my map for USDCHF, i'm expecting it to go back to DP (but not doing longs, too high risk), but i will place pending sells at those levels in case it goes there. Trades above the 240 is considered CJ PA style where i'm expecting stop hunts to happen and trap more longs before bringing it down.

Below 240ma, would be NB style trades, since the lines dont exist there i'm just putting in at H4 level and midlevels, TP at each level, i'm guessing that it will goto WS2 (CJ's H4 L2), probably not today

kwanann,

Great analysis, best of both worlds. To your point the NB long trade would not have been triggered. My expectation is that the price will drop next week below the 240 line and, at some point, a NB short trade will be setup.

I believe using both methods as complimentary only adds to the strength of the overall strategy.

A possible scenario on the daily chart. Yellow lines are not meant to imply stops at any specific levels but only to show a possible trip down.
