i can report similar experiences on global prime demo usings the ma37 setfile, also wondering what im missing

I don't know why you folks are having that many trades. My EA has not taken any M30 trade and only took the attached M5 AUDJPY trade (with the same setting except I added M1 TF with 6 signals) since almost 12 hours now and the trade has gone nowhere as you can see. It briefly went into a 10 pip profit and reversed. I am testing M5 entry to see whether I get an early trade but no conclusions yet.

I suspect it may be your trading time that is making the difference. I partially allow the EA to trade Asian session from 15.00 pm to 19.00 pm PST and Frankfurt/London from 22.00 pm to 2.45 am PST and US session from 5.50 to 6.45 am PST, 7.30 to 11.45 am PST. I am 7 behind GMT. I try to avoid trading major news events.

Thanks for your reply. I am trading 0:00 - 18:00 GMT so it could be the case I have had more trades than you. What I am not understanding is the closes. Have I missed something like trades close on a reverse signal or possibly an expiry of trade if it is in a loss?

I have not found the best exit strategy yet and therefore cannot comment on this part of your trade but I'm sure those with good TM settings will advise you. I still manually manage the EA trades.

Wow. Great attitude!! Rarely run across people who say something like this. Kudos Daniel.

Here are my weeks results for Georges set file and the APTM settings I use. So far using ATR has worked well for an exit strat. It followed Guppy and GA for a lot of pips yesterday. I turn it on 30 minutes after London Open and back off at 3pm NY time. Friday might just be a bad day for this EA. Personally I never trade Fridays because historically I give all my profits back on that day lol

Here is the thing for me.....thursdays are reversal or retrace days so the general feeling is that currencies are turning...well it so happens that friday Ny either goes in in the direction of the reversal or back into the trend soaking up the retrace....we are either contrarian traders or trend traders,,,,I have tried both and find that trend trading is better for me...I will not be surprised if most currencies make a concerted effort in the trend direction from here into market close.....My best days have been week end closes....anyway besides all these factors trading never is easy :smile:

So if you say that friday afternoon is not a good day for you means you are a contrarian trader ;)
