I've got a tdesk demo running where the lag (displayed on the top right 4549ms / 455tps) now seems to be affecting trade closures (I have many Empty4 demos running on my testing pc which is not helping)

I've limited the max bars on chart to 1000, - are there any other things I could do to reduce the lag. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

These are very extreme values. I have 4 terminals running on an average office PC and the usual values are 100 ms / 20 tps. 455 ticks per second per instrument is simply not plausible. Tell us more about your setup. Broker, traded instruments? What is the RefreshSeconds input of TDesk set to? How many charts are open with how many indicators? Etc.

thanks for your reply. Broker is global prime. refresh seconds of tdesk is set to 30 seconds. 28 charts open with currency pairs. The setup is r1ch4rd's hgi setup that was shared in the tdesk setups exchange thread. To see the indicators and chart, I've attached some screenshots.

I have not the slightest idea how only 364 active indicators doing ridiculous 112 parallel HGI calculations plus TDesk and Desky could affect the performance of an average CPU so badly.

I'm not sure if you are aware that the only charts you actually need to be on your platform whilst it is running are the TDesk & Desky (with the drones attached) templates.
I only open the default template onto a pair if I want to check the history or what price is doing currently, I then close it once I'm done.

PS the new HGI 6SMA setup has done very well this week, as well as the older settings, thanks again

Yep, me too. I'm up 4444 pips this week so far running 4 accounts with slightly different variations (all 20 pip TP per pair, 50 Global).
