Hi Tony and Better Half I've thought about switching but didn't think they took on Citizens USA because of the stupid Frank Dodd Rules etc... so I've had to operate between 2 sub-acct's in order to get any semblance of freedom to emulate an environment that the super cool bots can hang out in. Anyone know if they take US Citizens or have margin greater than 50x or maybe pm me if unable to discuss in public forum. Money is no barrier, although I'm curious if tax treatment would change i.e. less. Maybe its just time for a move, been all over the US maybe time to travel abroad. Thanks xclr8tr |

broker discussion is kind of veering off thread topic, but briefly - for US citizens looking for offshore options check out link below to active discussion of our options (hope posting outside link is ok): http://forums.babypips.com/forex-broker ... -cftc.html I am about to open up live account with Tallinex after another week or two of demoing. |

Trading HGBnG as he has developed of late is impossible for US citizens. You guys can trade the stop and limit options, but that is probably of no comfort. Much as I sympathise, there is bugger all I can do apart from providing a forum where you guys can talk about it. Please discuss brokers available to US member at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =72&t=3429 |

V 1k is in post 1. I have added GW's buttons plus a few for limit trades. There is a new input in the "Odds and Ends" section, which is misnamed now as it addresses the chart feedback. ShowChartFeedback is intended for those of us trading via a VPS but monitoring your trades elsewhere. I have a basic one and cpu processing and memory usage are something of an issue, so turning off most of the chart display seems like a passably good idea to me. |

There is an experimental version in post 1, inspired by this pm from cyberevil: The part 1 video shows how the trader starts with a sell trade. If the market then rises, he sends a new trade with each $1 of loss. Imagine the grid of sells is stacked 10 high, then the trade at the bottom of the pile is -$10. When the market starts to fall eventually, the profit of the top few trades will become >= to the loss of the biggest loser at the bottom of the grid, so the winners and the loser can be closed. The flaw in this is obvious but the designer of this system has a part 2 that deals with it. I can make no sense of the part 2 video and I am not plowing through a 40 page thread at FF, so it would be great if anyone can provide a translation. I have applied this to the Stop_And_Limit_Orders trading method here and the inputs are set up to go ootb. The new inputs are:
Bloop spotters, the function that does the calculating is bool CanTradesBeOffset() starting at line 4676. The function is called at line 4675. I have turned off closure at a yellow wavy line. A grid of losing trades that enters a range may exit it in our favour, so we want to leave the trades alone until we know. If HGI subsequently shows we have left the range in the opposite direction to our trades, then the CloseOnOppositeSignal function will close the position; we take the hit and move on. It is possible to apply this idea to hedged positions but the code will be much more complicated. Let's establish that the function works properly first, then apply it to the Stop_Orders_Only method later on. Have fun playing with it when the markets reopen. |

Thanks for this Steve, loving the buttons! Also putting the experimental version on demo. See what we can figure out with it! Thanks again Steve you're a star, and we are all very lucky to be allowed to be a part of this. |

theforexedge has just pm'd me with a bloop alert. In V 1k line 4819 if (SellOpen && (!CloseOnlyInPositivePips || SellPipsUpl > 0)) should be if (SellOpen && (!CloseOnlyInPositivePips || SellPipsUpl > 0) && CloseTrades) to match line 4753. In the experimental version, the line number is 4913. There are 1k versions in post 1 for those wimps too scared to make the changes themselves. This is bloop spotting to a magnificent degree folks. Thanks theforexedge. |

Headline position for last week. Fantastic: DD position total bollocks, mostly thanks to UC. Get a load of this little lot: The market sidelined for most of last week, exactly in between the buys and sells in my hedged position, costing me a small fortune in swap. You have to have experienced the frustration of seeing both sides of a hedged position in heavy loss for days on end, to know how it feels. Hey ho. Patience is one of the keys to success trading the bastard Forex market. Never forget guys: he has a vindictive sense of humour and he has it in for YOU. |
