10.4 A Complete System

I'm technical all the way.. Never followed news and never will. I know it's an extreme view but I just don't have the time to keep up with fundies so if I'm ever going to make it in FX trading it has to be charts only.

Well Bob, I just want to say your system worked for me this week and it worked well. Amongst all the chaos I just took a much more cautious approach and pulled 11/11 successful trades using the system. This is while the guys on ZuluTrade got smashed, even the veterans I've been following for a while. They all bet against the trend and thought it had to come back, they were all wrong. The JPY and AUD massacred them and unfortunately I had some losses on my signal account as well.
I have now learned to trade with patience and follow the rules - if something feels off or i'm not convinced then I don't trade. That helped me this week and now I need to get my risk/reward strategy sorted.

Does any one have the indi that draws line every 100 pips at the 00 line. I have seen people with these but I have never had one. I guess I need a new toy to play with.

This is the one I use:-

I also have SweetSpots but it’s a bit too busy for me.
I use Critical levels.
Settings:-
All colours set to ‘None’ except
- ColourRoundNumbers = Your choice
- LineLength = 13

I believe there are similarities between life and forex. There is an underlying rhythm which is not singular and at times appears dischordant and chaos, in life I am learning to get with the beat so that life flows better, and for me to hear the beat I need times of being still and reflection rather than stubborn persistance, so I find life navigating the waves to reach harmony. One thing that helps me a lot in life is to turn every negative into a positive. The same is true in forex. This is an opportunity to make some huge improvements in my trading, if weaknesses have been identified then I can either curse the markets for their harsh treatment or bite the bullet and take the lessons on offer. The markets don't care about me, they don't know I exist, if I'm going to play, then they make all the rules so I play it their way or not at all. I'm still a noob, and in my journey so far I have realised the dangers of having too much information. For instance the signals from one system often contradict the signals from another so which way do you go? Or fundamentals and technicals are telling different stories then which way? In these times I get analysis paralysis and confusion, so I'll probably just stay out. I've learnt a lot from this forum thanks to Bob and other contributors, and where my journey has taken me is to trade price action, and using 104/105 gives me a framework to do that. But forex is alive and wild not tame so it's all about trading probabilities over the long game, keeping MM tight, absorbing the loss but stay the course so that over a hundred/thousand trades I can be successful. In fact my probelm has been the opposite in MM where I have been so tight that I'm often stopped out of a trade only to see price move in my original direction. I was in EN GN NC this week, price stalled on all three initially so I closed out for £15 profit, but if I stayed in I would have banked close to £400. I'm annoyed at that and will give more room to breathe next time. So as we lick our wounds the market remains open for all those who want to play, but its NFP today and I'm out until next week.

Well importance is that you are in profit.

I firmly believe once you close the trade, forget about it, move on. Yeah sure you can stay on and earn more, but thats on hindsight, at that point in time you never know when it just might turn against you

How many confirmed 10.4 trades were there this week?

My EA took 2, AUDCAD 18:25 05/06/2013 and AUDNZD 05/06/2013 (Alpari UK server time, Both short trades and both are winners AUDNZD still rolling + 48 and stop to entry.

Sorry no. I've had no problem with it.
Used it for ages on many charts.

Bob, you should use your last simplified tpl, with less lines on charts, it's really the best one to use in my opinion
I Started May 3rd, using your tools, i'm up 22%, faced a 4% negative float only, using only fix 0.01 lots on 800 usd balance
Don't be discouraged please, Bob please come on, your system is great, i guess you were just to much sure of what will happen next days, you'll never be able to perfectly know the future, even a guy experimented as you are, CAN NOT predict that. Fundamentals can help sometimes, but who can understand all what big guys have in their minds and in their hands ? We'll never know all.
As Jemook mentioned, ONLY CHARTS.
Use the simplified tpl, no more lines on charts, we have much enough to do the job

The JPY & CHF have been the strongest currencies all week with AUD & NZD the weakest, why would anyone sell the JPY hoping it would weaken?
