Surprise ! The FK EA could survive ... after some tough weeks ! :yahoo:
I wouldn't expect that looking at the DDs during the last weeks. But inspite of everything this bot could resist !! Nice one !
But using this EA you must have a high risk Appetite ! :youknow:

It's a pity, but the TCCI EA is unfortunately in big trouble for now. Have to abandon this EA ... at least this Version ... it does not work for me. Anyone here with better results ? Hopefully Jose may improve it ?

Another bot the NLD EA posted in FF.com is perhaps a good candidate for further investigations. There is a lot of acitvity in the appopriate thread in FF.com - so it's necessary to follow regularly getting new features and updates ! But all in all it seems, that the method works profitably. Reading the stuff in FF.com it seems obvisouly the main point is the money management - like so often in any trading system ! :smile:
(All in all some more time is needed running this one at the dailly TF, perhaps I'll try it at the H1 ! ;) )

The 2 long term traders ESW and CR are chugging along ... although the CR is in trouble now after down trending of approx. 1000 pips .... ummmm :arrrg:
But nevertheless the account is (still) alive. :oops: Lets how it will recover ... sooner or later !

The ESW is doing the job much better since August last year. It was in trouble as well during market trends as expected ... but surving all these moves with a DD of approx. 20% is a pretty good result ! :good:

Although we never know what will happen next in this crazy fx market, I'm much positive about the ESW (for now).

Actually I'm testing only these 2 EAs:

1. ESW (CR)
2. NLD EA

I see you got +1032 pips in less than a month.
If you remove the most exotic pairs that is causing the biggest loss you would have almost +2000 pips instead!

I am talking about these exotics:
USDTRY
USDSGD
EURSGD
SGDJPY

Thx for posting your analysis ! I see, yes, excluding these pairs would have indeed improve the result significiently.
But never mind my friend - you know this is in any case the analysis of the past provided for a limited time. During that period, yes, these pairs (even the major pair USDJPY !) gave bad results. So, it could be, that in another period either in the past or in the future these pairs or some them did / will do the job much better ! It all depends at some market conditions / news which are "good" or "bad" for one or another pair at a given time. Today these conditions are good, tomorrow they may be bad .... :uff:
I'm very reserved relating to that famous question " Which of all the damn pairs is the best one ?" :youknow:

So perhaps the USDTRY is indeed not so appropriate bcz of higher spreads ... may be. But all the others have usually "normal" spreads. "Trading" never knows what pair it is itself .... the "pair" itself is only a simple chaotic price movement described by numbers .... it is always a question of maths + stats.

You are right may be using the pairs in connection with a specific strategy or EA some of them could be better or worse .... but to find this out in a longer run we must compare accounts with and without these suspicious pairs running them side by side. And yes, right bro: I'll do this and start two platforms - one with all pairs, another with a limited number excluding the exotics you mentioned.

Here you go ! BUT: take into account this bot is an older version "Dave C" coded and posted in FF.com !

He changed this EA some times and posted recently a last actual version, only at jan 20th !

I'm in fact not sure about the full correctness of the older version I attached here - so it may contain bugs, be careful ! :uff:

Dear all,
it’s a bit quiet here now bcz I’m running now the long term trader ESW, and the Cable Rider as well. LONG TERM in fact means: before earning some bucks, these bots must run for months – many, many months. Looking the appropriate MFXB links in my “portfolio” it’s easy to understand that these EAs demand strict patience ! You will definitely struggle with long lasting DD periods: 2...3…4 months – a boring and irritating time !

What will you get at the end, after a year or so ? The result of all the torments is a mean monthly gain of 5-6 % (approx. 50-70% p.a. - a great result for any hedge fond) ! 5-6% a month - nothing more – all other attempts of squeezing out more require higher risks and may kill the account bcz of the grid trading this EAs are based on. BUT this kind of grid trading is coded pretty tricky by Jose ! The hedging mechanism included into this EA makes it very save.
The Cable Rider (CR) is much more aggressive then the ESW. Anyway, this aggressive EA could survive a 1000 pips trend yet – and even giving nice gains after the markets reversal ! Although the CR isn’t a possible candidate for live trading - for me – someone with higher risk appetite could use it !
To earn the described possible 60 % p.a. gain it is necessary to catch the “right moment” – that means after the closing of the gap between equity and balance, occuring permanently in wavelike cycles, someone must delete all the trades manually and stop trading. These manual interventions are completely up to the individual goals of any trader.
All in all running this ESW actually since September 2015 I wont add any further comments bcz the picture for this EA is pretty clear for now. I let it run further. Hopefully it will chug along in exactly the same way earning some quiet green pips step by step.
(Yes, of course, I understand this kind of EA trading is very boring and for many trader fellows unacceptable … I apologise. I will post here very rarely, bcz nothing special will happen here using this ESW – at least I hope so ! :) )
