Just want to point out that anybody wanting to run this EA on a time frame other than H4 and also wanting to use MA stacking should note that as the code stands MA stacking is set for H4 timeframe only.
Yes. As I understand it, that is the whole point of Andy's filter. I did mention this earlier but not everyone reads my posts.

Andy, do I need to bludgeon people over the head with this or can the time frame be a user input?

Do say I can bludgeon please. Pretty please. With lots of whatever you want.

If you are trading H1 then the filter should be set for H1.

Its crook when you have a post deleted by the moderator without even upsetting him!! No problem Steve.

I was complimenting Shelley on her results but asked which timeframe she had used - I assume H4?

im running v2h OOTB, default settings, on H1 charts and its doing really well.

tommiho wrote:Hi guys,
does anyone have a 1H set file respecting all the 4h to 1h changes in the EA?
I have given it a try but just want to double check it with someone who knows exactly what he is doing.

Thanks very much.
Hi I thought one has to change all the MA settings both on the chart and in EA settings multiplying it by 4 to get entries according to 4H but bit sooner as per 1H bars crossing.
That was my understanding. Just wanted to confirm that with people already running it. It seems there are different views on this.
thanks for answering.

I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you. Andy's filter is hard coded to read the H4. My H1 demo is now up just shy of 4% for the week. Out of curiosity, I changed my live play money Cowboy IBFX account to H1 last night; currently 6 trades open, all in profit albeit not by a lot.

If it aint bust......................

We shall see. It is early days.

All my manual trading uses higher timeframes to determine direction and lower timeframes for entries - so this makes perfect sense to me.

What surprises me a little is that I have 8 open trades, 2 part closed, all in profit at the moment. I only started this yesterday afternoon but it looks interesting. What will be the make or break imo will be the trend direction changes - will it get punished more than the standard H4 BASA....

As you say Steve - early days....but fun ones

Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Tommaso,

hm to be honest I read it through and through but I thought it was a bit more complicated than, just to change the MA in the template to 960/240 and you are good to go. I was looking at more complicated approach :) . Will follow Steve`s hint from page 50.

thanks
