My FB live account is up 360 pips so far this week.
Only change I have made is to 240 ma from lwma to sma with a 200 sl.
I run it 24/5.

@AGT

It's newcomer luck. When you start this strategy, it doesn't matter what settings you have. You are going to see early gains. I did so with an account I started this week. Bet if you ask cosmo, he just started his demo recently. Willing to put money on that.

Over time though, the positioning of different trades will lead to the problems we have faced. Especially with trades that fall prey to the changing MA 240 rule. I tried to request a way to stop these trades from closing with losses and just carrying them through but to no avail.

Depending on your broker, the price feed, and broker-based-volatility ( A term I proudly invented). This MA closure behavior is going to produce losses. Funny thing though with broker based volatility (BBV), I now have a broker where when the MA 240 is is switched the trades are normally in the black, which has lead to growth from what was supposed to be loss trades on my other broker.

I am using version from page 1 post 1
I have been running for 4 weeks, I had large drawdowns with 240 lwma so changed to sma.
Since then max drawdown has been approx. 2%
I do add a trade and increase lot size if trade is going against me.

These settings are actually quite good. I am running 4 different accounts with different settings and TF's.
I call this Reversed Stoch and the results are better than with the normal settings. I also have disabled the MA stopouts in the Fract Bob EA and that has helped a lot to keep the profits and build on it.
It means that when MA direction changes the EA will not close the open trades. We ride them out until GEC closes the basket.
Probably not suitable for FIFO customers.
I will show results later on. They were all started at the same time with the same TF's and same settings other than the obvious differences I mentioned above.

Just started these a couple of days ago so I will need more time to see the results.

1 x account with the original Fract Bob setup version G. (all of them are version G anyway, I modified the one with no MA Stopout.)
1 x account with Reversed Stoch.
1 x account with No MA Stopouts
1 x account with No MA Stopouts and with Reversed Stoch.

I run all four on the 1H, 4H and Daily TF's on each accounts. so I have over 60 open charts per account. Not an issue.

So there is no need to really panic and they all look good anyway. This type of trading must be scary to some since DD can be large but that is how Basket trading works. Sometimes takes a long time to get to a GEC. Nothing wrong here guys. Just wait it out.

Can you confirm the stochastic settings for the bot on your set as listed above. It appears that the buy and sell are the opposite of accepted practice. Thanks.

Yes, i switched the BuyBelow and SellAbove settings, because i wanted to get more trades, not just in Overbought/Oversold areas. So instead of only buying in oversold i want to buy except from being in the overbought area and vice versa.

Mind sharing that mod version with MA stopout turned off?

Just for interest, I have been using the original version since August, sadly the demo crashed when the $500 starting balance reached $877. I began a new demo with the starting balance of $877.

It has been OOTB and using MPTM at 2%

The last week and a half like most, this has been very slow and in constant d/d at times, however in the last 24 hours it has worked it's way back with a basket closing.

Here s the link to the first demo which crashed - http://www.myfxbook.com/members/tradobo ... ob/1026597

The second - http://www.myfxbook.com/members/tradobo ... 77/1031248

I did have a 3rd demo which I closed the d/d out manually and let it restart. I never got around to changing to later versions, anyways posting these links in case it helps. Oh and tf is 15 min here.

Cheers

Here you go,

Hope Steve doesn't mind. I had to do it, since I had the same opinion as you have and wanted to try This version has the Stochastic module as well so use both as per the settings earlier by Doc.
This is performing the best so far of all my tests. 1H, 4H and daily.

Works OK.

One more thing guys, I do use a large SL of 2000 pips just to make sure the trades are not going to hit it before GEC comes in. TP 50 pips, BE 30 pips with 20 pips locked in profit at that point.
But please experiment with the settings. The more of us testing it, has better chance to get the right combination on the end.

This is still by far the best EA I have and has made good progress in the last 2-3 weeks since I am using it.
I have this on 2 x of my LIVE accounts as well. They are not losing. Some DD yes, but not losing.

Attached is the set file for 1H setting. Change the TF settings to the time frame you want to use. This is set to 60 min.

@cosmo: So I see you are interfering manually ?
"I do add a trade and increase lot size if trade is going against me."
And if you started 4 weeks ago you dont the have the last v 1g ? Right ?
Ok - but in that case it's impossible to compare your results with the ones posted here bcz all (or most ?) people here run the bot fully automatically.

I do attempt to manage the drawdown, as Steve has often said you cannot just blindly run an E A on auto pilot sometimes you do have to step in and make manual changes.
I have found that every EA has it's weaknesses so you still need some way to manage it.
