Have a question about wawe+trend trades. Do they need to form on the same candle as it is pretty rare, and if there could be some lookback candle option for wawe signals as they do appear sooner then big trend arrows.
Hope you are still considering moving pendings Steve.
Once again thank you for all you are doing . You are like Santa :xm:

Hi all, haven't posted in a while and to make myself useful I tracked those pesky 130 order errors down, it only affects pendings and looks to come from the "CheckMinimumPipsTo20" call.

Line 1981

Code: Select all

if (type == OP_BUY)
should be

Code: Select all

if (type == OP_BUY || type == OP_BUYSTOP)
otherwise BUYSTOPS are getting 20 pips knocked off and the pending is sent at below the current price which triggers the error, bugger all to do with stop loss.

A thought for you guys.

Once you have decent profits on the table, take them and close down for the day. What typically happens is this: trades go into loads of profit; trades get closed at lots of profit; the remaining trades go deeply into dd and eventually give back more than the profits earned.

Every time I have had good days with HGB, it is because I observed the above.

I was lucky today. The usual thingy happened, but the remaining trades just swung back far enough in my favour for me to close them out at a magnificent +344 - in December. It could have been much higher had I closed the lot when my instinct told me to several hours ago.

Something to contemplate.

This is what I use, I'm sure you've seen it before. Adjusts for volatility using ATR and ensures you don't give everything back. I never trade without it .... just a thought. Multipliers between 2.5 and 4 seem to work best.

Is it possible to develop the HBG Basket Manager with 'Global trailing/jumping SL' which closes all open and pending trades?

I was up around 1500 pips during the London session only to give it all back while I slept :cry: :cry: :cry:

A quick copy of a post I just made in the dummies' thread.
Just a quick bit of generalised abuse here, aimed an nobody specifically.

Only a cretin with a financial death wish trades HGB OOTB. The OOTB settings tend to reflect the latest thingy I have coded and often bear no resemblance to any kind of realistic live trading whatsoever.
Something to bear in mind folks.

It is, but that does not change the position I described earlier. Will do it though - 'tis the next logical step for HGBBM.

would really appreciate if lookback is implemented. "...As formations on same candle is pretty rare..." - true
