i think trading with 10.4 is easier than going on bloomberg's IM and trying to not be knifed in the ass.

It is an ugly world out there. One mistake and you can wipe out days or weeks of profit. But we all know that.

Yea, just want to be clear here though. I am not trying to prove anything because I don't want to see people stop commenting on our posts. We learn from these and in this forum, there are people who are the friendliest of them all. I have learned in the past in OTHER forums that people do not necessarily have to be nice, and it affects trading. The best group of people hang out in this forum...so much so that I don't even remember what that OTHER forum was called.

One thing I would like to say here is that my trading improved by milestone when I stopped using tight stop losses. You sometimes just have to let them run. I got so tired of trading in the proper direction only to be taken out when price came back to test and then run 200 pips in my original trading direction. Thanks for your comments.

OK, I sold the Geppy for a bargain at the 153.80 and put a tight stop above 1.5438.

Sunday night I bought GBP/CAD at the 1.5812 mark with my stop below the 1.5732 mark.

I also sold the EUR/CAD at 1.3464 with stop below 1.3400 area.

I also sold the USD/CHF at .9348 with stop behind the .9470 mark.

All doing fine and pulled profit off of G/C and E/C

I think that should end the earlier debate about selling G/J and buying G/CAD as really just selling CAD/JPY....

Gents - I notice there are some people experimenting with different stop positioning - daily/weekly pivots, 240 vs recent swing high low, 1HR CSS etc - at the end of the month can we get a summary of the win/loss and the risk /reward (average pips won vs average pips loss will do if you can't calculate R:R per trade) if you are running a non standard stop loss approach? That way we can actually compare the different approaches with data. Risk vs Reward and av. win percentage will be primary determinate of return and small variations in stop positiong can have surprisingly large effects on profitability.

Waching N/U if WP proves as a solid resistance. just keeping an eye on it = no action yet as indicators are still on green... :?

other than that I have closed out all my trades so far.

don't know if this has been done yet, but has anyone written a simple EA that will place an order when the CSS 1H crosses, that would be really helpful, as often the setup is there and it's just a matter of waiting, but if an EA could place the trade then that would streamline things even more.
