OR you can set your xxx.000/xxx.050 for every 50 pips and get this, which is the setting I already use.

If you wonder where I would put a 2nd entrance I could use the previous days DP.
Completely forgot about the DP's and xxx.00/xxx.050, think i'll take a look at the old 10.6 and import them over. The codes work with Empty4 6xx and above right?nanningbob » Mon May 19, 2014 8:04 am wrote:OR you can set your xxx.000/xxx.050 for every 50 pips and get this, which is the setting I already use.
This is interesting, never tried it this way before. So what you're doing here is to divide the 8ths by 8ths, so its 1/64th a line?James Roscoe » Mon May 19, 2014 7:08 am wrote:
Great contribution! Now if you find these 1/8 th trading lines too wide, you can use use your fib tool, set it to divide up into 8ths evenly, and there you have a more detailed analysis. Another way to trade top down.
In addition to that, if the daily goes against the weekly open, do I trade that?
Edit -
P.S.: Why 8ths though? Is there a significance?

That's very true bob. The trouble I had with a static grid is that I felt the lines should be responsive to the volatility of the instrument. You solved that in a different way.nanningbob » Sun May 18, 2014 6:04 pm wrote:OR you can set your xxx.000/xxx.050 for every 50 pips and get this, which is the setting I already use.

If the daily goes against the weekly open then 10.6 10.7 range rules apply. I got rid of that issue by trading only 2 pairs. E/U and U/C, both long only. Placing pending orders at the 1/8th lines keeps you in compliance with 10.7 trend rules. The reason I use 8ths is because I follow W D Gann's harmonic philosophy. So yes, 1/8th * 1/8th is 1/64th.dispell » Sun May 18, 2014 7:00 pm wrote:nanningbob » Mon May 19, 2014 6:51 am wrote:gbp/usd trade. Here is the Gann master commodities course use Adobe to search for 1/8 and it will give you some reading if you wish.

Hi Bob, this is a perfect example of where I get very confuse.....everything is set for a sell on the H4 gbp/usd chart..... BUT looking at the D1 CSS INFOPAGE we can see right know that the two lines are at the same value and touching and both are almost flat.nanningbob » Sun May 18, 2014 4:51 pm wrote:gbp/usd trade. So.... if the lines cross the D1 CSS will validate the sell set up but if the lines bounce having the gbp stronger and the usd weaker then the H4 chart will change to an UT having us to wait for a new setup to buy in the new UT. Looking back some... it seems they are going to cross in the near future. On the other hand we have the PA in between the 240 and 60 with an olive dummy light. Also the TMA bands on the daily chart looks that they are in an UT.
So by doing a Top Down analysis it looks like teh D1 chart is having a healthy UT and finishing a pullback, H4 chart looks like a DT finishing a pullback and H1 chart looks like an UT therefore confirming the UT on the daily chart. Which way to go?
How do you handle this point of critical decision? Is there another indi or way to relay and confirm the decision to choose the correct direction?
Thanks in advance

Taking two trades for today, EURJPY & GBPJPY.
Got in a little late on the EJPY, had some network problems around the area, wanted to sell the DP but now selling off the support. GBPJPY is pending at an xxx.050 line, fingers crossed for the london session.
Cheers!

GBPJPY however, i accidentally set a trailstop, TP 5 pips. Now it's down 50pips.
Well, live and let live. I'll trade again another time.
Why JPY? My JPY crossed the 20 line.
Bob's CSS thread is clear in the sense that once something crosses the 20, it'll accelerate. So JPY up against most currencies. Next thing i will be looking at is AUD and NZD crossing the 20 up, then we can look into buying those pairs.

Why the confusion. CSS usd has crossed up and gbp has crossed down and heading down.Pipstubborn » Mon May 19, 2014 11:03 am wrote:Hi Bob, this is a perfect example of where I get very confuse.....everything is set for a sell on the H4 gbp/usd chart..... 4H Same as I already said
Daily chart it has broken a previous S/R area and has come back to retest it.
weekly and monthly are on the bottom. How many more signs do you need???
This is what I have right now on the gbp/usd
D2.1 is bouncing up and down
W2.1 is down
M2.1 is down
DP broken going down.
S/R region broke and being retested.
CSS has USD level but up some GBP crossing down
That is 6 signals given. Without being too cruel here but How many do you need before you take a trade???
gbp/usd daily below
