Set file attached and chart shows the setup visually. I don't use the SL within MAD EA so my exits are very subjective but if a 20pip TP is not hit during the session I look to exit whether profit of loss.. and no more trades on that pair until the next session cycle. I have not yet found a satisfactory way to make this hands off so it is still on my demo account.

Essentially where we have pairs of sufficient strength/weakness I am entering into the weekly cycle when the daily cycle agrees using the LWMA crosses to define this. The trigger is 4/8 LWMA stack on H1

Hope this helps but as I said it's not hands off and I would encourage you to play with your own settings to find what works best for you.

As an example today using just this strategy:

.... 15 trades:

11 x 20tp hit
4 x closed out manually
no losers :)

using global prime demo and your latest settings kindly posted got 150 pips today, nice clean trades. full auto today, just closed manually remaning trades at 4pm UK time

Hi, nice results :clap: . Did you try some ATR stoploss setting? I feel a bit uncomfortable with no stoploss at all.

I understand.. although stop losses are there to help you loose money. That doesn't mean you can trade successfully without them and if you don't know what you are doing trading without a SL is essentially just a one way bet and I don't know any successful gamblers.

Personally I have never been able to make an ATR SL with a trade manager work successfully. Perhaps because these levels are hunted out specifically who knows.. I am currently working with time based exits around the end of each session and also follow intra day Hurst cycles - if 3 lower time frames go against me I get out.

.. I have spent the past year developing my own EA "Hurst Trader" and the last few years playing with the fantastic offerings on this forum and the fact is I still don't have an automated exit strategy that I trust. Should be easy but it's not :arrrg:

In most simple terms.. I feel if a candle closes against your trade on the timeframe above the one you are trading then you need to be out. A TDMTL break against the trade or 2.1.1 Stochastic can also work as well as anything as a guide here .. but often late enough to ruin your profit.

I would encourage further discussion here on exit strategy. Hedged grid trading is the latest thing I am learning / playing / working with. It seems to offer all the benefits of an ALR loss recovery type of trading without any of the negatives. The most promising thing I can see at the moment with regards to automating exits is what Steve is working on with the R&R logic for that monster and HGBnG.

That said.. MAD EA offers the potential for fool proof entries into the short and/or longer term trends and once your trade is in profit.. TAKE IT :mrgreen: and again and again... That is my logic in setting a 20pip TP when working from H1 up. Just keep a close eye for changes in market conditions (especially around the beginning and end of the week and/or month) and keep the EA deactivated if necessary until it's clear.. a sufficiently long time setting between trades and restricted hours like in the set file I posted can help too. :jump:

As a side note.. for peeps that don't have the time/ access to check charts during the day just stick with D1. It will be the best decision you make. I did so for years on demo and a live cent account when I had a 60hr per week stressful job and it's a great way to learn with just 10mins needed daily around the market close/open. D1 signals in direction of Weekly and/or Monthly are STRONG ..and of course the drawdown is relative :roll:
