Awesome work TJF. What version of the EA are you using now?

I am using the previous full version (5.23) on Live and testing the new simple version on Demo this week and will swap this onto live for next week all being well.

I am testing the simple version with a D1 diff and delta set but and with H1 Global Trend Filter to open AND close instead of basket TP .. I have posted and will update results about this test in the EA thread since it is not a basket strategy. I am also looking at trying an offsetting strategy like the previous Gridmaster as trade manager. Essentially I am happy with my M5H1D1 set for baskets and this is my reference now that any other testing has to beat to be considered.

Thanks for sharing and your attention to detail on the new toys Mathias and others are developing. With regard to the version (5.23). Is there any reason you are not using the latest version (5.26) on your live acct? I have been updating as they have been rolling out and results seem to be good. Just wondering.

After surviving last weeks DD due to VPS-problems I closed shop for the week.
This week I restarted the account, using the H4H1 setfile with risk of 1%@2ADR and basket TP@1%.

Profits are good....

No reason.. just that was the version that has passed my testing process and has gone onto Live while I catchup with the latest versions and more testing on demo. I would never put an EA on Live that I haven't traded on demo first that's all.

Yes, you are correct.
Be aware, only by luck did the account survive after the huge DD.

Tried applying your setfile with the new release version 5.26 and somehow it is working. Just want to know the rationale behind opening a 100 trades per symbol. Why 100 instead of 10 or lower?

I will be putting this M5H1D1 (15pair) set on a small live account next week and this will be the reference point for me to try and beat with continued testing of various further options. I plan to turn the EA off every Friday during the day and manually bring any remaining positions to a close or hedge so I don't carry any risk over weekends.

First week live now complete:

.. I manually closed the final basket just now with just a slight profit rather than risking leaving a basket open. Very happy with + 8.6% profit and 5.6% max drawdown.

Hi all,

Also started live trading this week 15/11--changed to M5H1D1 Live Set file as per TJF's recommendation. Same EA as my prev. posts. Starting balance $7191.94--closed a small basket this morning manually that was at 0 profit because I don't want open trades going into the weekend. Finished at $ 7728.48 --$536.54 profit which is 7.46% growth in 4 days of trading which is 1.87% per day. EA closed 6 baskets in 4 days which is exactly my target of 1.5 baskets per day, x 4 days a week =6, x16 days a month = 24 baskets--that I'm aiming at. That's an average of $90 a basket which at basket TP of 1% is higher than what I was aiming for--but I closed 1 basket manually which may have skewed things a bit. If I look at my spread sheet calculation where I compounded the growth of 1.5% per basket--after 6 days its slightly ahead.
Draw down max was 3.47%. This is the most exciting aspect of this strategy/method--it lends itself to pretty accurate trading behaviour...which is very seldom seen in trading...never mind investing.
