You do not need this update if you are not a lazy, stupid, brainless dimwit too bog-brained-bone-idle to read the user guide. All it contains is a few dimwit checks to alert the brainless that their Indicators folder does not contain the required indi. Give yourself a quick laugh by setting HGI_Name to something daft and see what happens.

For those of you too thick and lazy to work out the basics for yourselves, I have included a few more dimwit checks; no doubt you find new ways to fuck this up. Congratulations when you manage it; this will be an achievement, of sorts. Rather along the lines of me finding it bordering on admirable when dimwits refuse steadfastly to read anything I write anywhere, whatever the circumstances. Stupidity at this level deserves a sort of grudging admiration.

It occurred to me that moving the Indi inputs to the top of the file to try to bludgeon the cretins over the head with the need to do some actual thinking might be a help, so I have done so. I would have written, "I hope this helps them" but that would imply that I care about them. Anybody reading this still under the delusion that this is so should seek therapy immediately.

Nobody with the faintest idea what is going on here needs 2c. Ignore it.

Thanks Steve, I am downloading it purely for the entertainment value. I used to think, "This Steve Hopwood guy really has a bug up his arse", however, after reading the same stupid posts day after day, I realised that you have the patience of Job. It is fortunate that I do not have moderator rights as most of these people would not survive a second post. Thanks for your time, efforts and of course your satire!

I have decided to come clean. Everyone likes a laugh at my expense. I am almost too ashamed to type what follows.

Gulp. Here goes.

I started to type what would have finished up as, "You do realise that the spell checker would have passed your post, don't you." before I stopped and engaged my one firing synapse for a millisecond.

:arrrg:

I would probably fall for the old, "Hey guess what? 'Gullible' has been removed from the dictionary."

Hey ho.

:xm:
I came up with that one when I worked in a school as a PC Tech/Network Admin... When kids would ask the teachers how to spell a word, their answer was always "Use the spell-check".

When I pointed out that most of the computers were set up with American spelling, the usual response was "What's the difference?" (I'm in Downunderland). Derr.

When I told kids to look it up in a dictionary, teachers would ask me, "How are they going to find it in the dictionary if they can't spell it?" (Huh?? WHAT?!???). I asked a teacher one day whether they taught kids how to break words down into syllables, so they could find them in a dictionary, all I got was a look of dumb confusion :(

edit... Eventually, I put "Do knot trussed..." into a Word document on the big screen in the IT room, and the teachers asked, "What's that supposed to mean?"

God help the next generation! :roll:

Have fun!

One day one of the (former) kids will regain their sense of humour, remember this, and start laughing hysterically while in the bathroom..!

Steve and the A-team programers there is one wish I have for my Xmas stocking.

I am working on the lower timeframes in addition to my H4 trials. I am finding there is one trade there that is dynamite especially on M1 that often foretells a very good M5 trade.

Here are my conditions for you to consider for HGB inclusion:

Enter trend arrow if trend arrow signals with trend wavy (buffer 8) OR with trend wavy signal appearing up to four candles back

AND enter trade if after a trend arrow signal a trend wavy signal appears on any of next three candles, same as a trend wavy trade with and up to 3 candle look back to trend arrow

These are magic trades Steve and on the lower timeframes they are hitting often, some of them turn into runners, so risk/reward becomes pretty impressive.

And lastly to everyone involved in HGI and HGB evolution and the long road to here a Very Merry Xmas.

You have achieved sense and order out of chaos...............may I add my thanks to the others

cheers

This is similar to something others have mentioned. I am going to pm you later so we can talk about it.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

I was up over 100% on my account with this EA (US$ 10k to over 22k) but I got too aggressive on my Lot size and using the ForexKiwi restriction of not trading below account margin of 600, I started missing too many good trades while I carried my losses. I am reducing my Lot size to 0.05 per $10,000 equity but I trade everything. I have closed all trades on Friday and I am now sitting at about $18.5k equity. Still damn fine but you really have to be in the market for all the good trades that come along with this beauty of an EA.

I am also finding that this EA works well on the exotics such as EurNok and UsdZar. If you like the exotics you will have to change this line:

Code: Select all

string          pipFactor[]  = {"JPY","XAG","SILVER","BRENT","WTI","XAU","GOLD","SP500","S&P","UK100","WS30","DAX30","DJ30","NAS100","CAC400"};
double          pipFactors[] = { 100,  100,  100,     100,    100,  10,   10,    10,     10,   1,      1,     1,      1,     1,       1};
with this code:

Code: Select all

string          pipFactor[]  = {"JPY","XAG","SILVER","BRENT","WTI","XAU","GOLD","SP500","S&P","UK100","WS30","DAX30","DJ30","NAS100","CAC400","ZAR","TRY","SEK","NOK","DKK"};
double          pipFactors[] = { 100,  100,  100,     100,    100,  10,   10,    10,     10,   1,      1,     1,      1,     1,       1,      1000, 1000, 1000, 1000, 1000};
This is for Global Prime but you can use a similar approach to exotic pairs on other sites as long as you work out the proper multiplier (ie 1, 10, 100 etc).

I see that Steve has come out with another EA. Amazing. But I do hope we don't side line this EA. Lets fine tune this baby as it is really really fine right now and should only get better.

What a great idea! Wish I had thought of it. :hi:

If I could only add to the idea...on a very conservative approach, it would be good to use the TrendWavy signal as the main base signal, and have any other signals trigger a trade ONLY if an open TrendWavy trade already exists. Just my two centons. 8-)

Hmmmmm. You do want HGB to take the occasional trade don't you? Slightly more than once a decade?
