Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

The Bombay Sapphire remains unopened today... ... Errrr, I mean....

I downloaded the latest version with the filters last night and forgot to disable the Slope filter... As such, I didn't have any trades at the London open... That said, my NY basket opened up right on schedule, 30 minutes before NY, and exactly... EXACTLY one hour later, it took the money and ran... ~500 pips in 60 minutes? Yeah, I'd say that's livable... so... $1.5k real dollars banked this week! Nice work Shelley, Steve, Bob et al.... BRAVO!!!

I feel like our reporting is all over the place. Its mostly good but totally un-redoable. We need to follow up with a set files & broker. I'm using Shelleys EA ,OOTB, no S&G. See above results. I used the MPTM for one of my exits but the EA sleep didn't activate and my Shelley EA jumped right back in. Did I miss a setting in the EA or The MPTM?

Shelley v1l OOTB made me 1.200 (Yes, that is one thousand two hundred!) pips today.

Pips!? NOT points!? What TP did you use?

My Shelley 1l (letter 'l') OOTB opened 12 orders at 7:45 GMT. I closed them manually 2 minutes after NFP release at 12:32 GMT, after a huge spike in pips (some traders still don't know which way to trade after a NFP release. )

Agreed... Actually, truth be told, I have been trading this thing live since Tuesday... That said, I wouldn't necessarily recommend that route for everybody. First off, the money that I have set aside for Forex is 100% expendable... That is to say, it is earmarked to vanish over night! Haha.... Anyway, couple that with the fact that I am very comfortable with the Shelley EA/Strategy, and I have a complete understanding of it, and I know exactly what to expect... I know exactly what I'm risking for each session... I have a terrific broker... and my VPS is rock solid... So, taking all these things into account, I've been trading it live for the past couple days... Needless to say, so far, I love it....

PS - My best advice is two-fold... First, don't play with money that you can't afford to flush down the toilet... That is true of any funds earmarked for ANY kind of investment - Second, make absolutely sure you understand the nuances of your trading strategy backward and forward before you put your money in the pot. You wouldn't play poker with professional poker players not even knowing whether or not a flush beats a straight, would you???

I concur, v1q never worked but v1l did to the tune of 1183 pips. Last night from EDST 3AM (8AM London) and till EDST 08:37 AM (after news, it was good to be on the right side of the news). I used FXCM, FINFX & MBTrading.

Shelley v1l OOTB made me 1.200 (Yes, that is one thousand two hundred!) pips today.

Would that be an all time record ?

Would you mind sharing the name of this rock solid VPS (and which package) please? that would be greatly appreciated

No sweat! I use dotblock.com -- They are located in NY where my crim's servers are located as well (FXCM Data via ATC Br o kers).... I pay something like $110/Mo., but that's for 6MB of RAM I believe... You just choose how many "blocks" you want (levels of configuration/performance)... It does run on AMD servers, but this seems to be a non-issue... And I have never experienced an outage lasting more than about 3 seconds (I know because I have a network monitoring app running that emails me if anything happens).... Hope this helps!

I think I see why Shelly & Gary does not seem to work. The Gary's trade if I am reading the code correctly will not open unless it is below .8 for a buy and above -.8 for a sell. On the D1 this could take weeks.
