I look for 50 pips and it really doesn't matter where I pick it up.

I once traded mostly on the D1 and H4 time frames, looking for those long runs for hundreds of pips. But while trading back then,my lot sizes were a lot smaller than what I trade now and I would only take one or two trade entries.

Now, I look for the short run, jump on the Fox with larger sized orders and stack the hell out of them when it's obvious that I am correct.

The idea is to make money.

Take what is given and close the trade in profit.
Your goal is to determine what direction price is moving and get a piece of that move.

I close my trades when I am satisfied with the profits or wish to cut loses and apply the funds to another trade. Too many people get hung up on making the perfect trade", looking for exact entry and exit. Those same people hardly ever find either. I look to make money on my trades. Each persons comfort zone on trades is as different as our looks. When I put a trade on, I expect to make money. When I end a trade, I end the trade and move to the next. You have to develop your own zones, the ones that are comfortable for you.
