George, ever since stumbling across this thread over at FXD - http://www.forex-tsd.com/indicators-met ... lerts.html - i thought this a neat idea - if one get's it to work.... Would you please consider to code the ducks in a manner as previously done by SH for the hanover "module", so that it is easily included into other EA's... I am sure that people have other geese (or wombats as this is a very Aussie-centric thread - lol) to put in a row.. I have three in mind myself.... A dedicated "duck indicator", that lends itself to easily change indicators and parameters would be great for manual traders too, maybe with a traffic light indicator similar to lawgirl's trend display or as done by seller9 (example http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread. ... ost5207817) for the entry conditions of TMS EA Just a thought..... Hi Mark/all, This looks like a very interesting system Mark. My interest was sparked by the fact that you have been trading it successfully already, and that it was taught to you by a pro. I also like the slightly esoteric way of using the RSI. I'm interested primarily in trading this manually on H1, H4 and D1 timeframes (although if someone could code it, I'd certainly have a close look!). However, to trade it manually we need clear rules - and even clearer ones that can be turned into maths for the coders!! I've read the thread 3 times now and the rules are scattered all around the place! So, I thought I'd have a go at summarising the rules/raising a couple of questions.............. For all examples, assume I am talking about going long, and all based on candle close. Please feel free to correct me or add to my ramblings! So......... We want the 3EMA to cross from underneath to above the 8EMA, ideally within 3 (max 5) candles of a “pivot” low or fractal low. We want the RSI to be above 55, having gone through the 45/55 zone at a nice angle between 12 and 2 o'clock. I'm ignoring ducks 5 & 6 for now. That's the entries, which I think is pretty straightforward......... However, exits aren't completely clear to me! Initial SL is placed below the 3rd candle back (the first candle you count being the current one you entered at the start of). TP1 = SL distance. TP2 = 2 x SL distance etc. When price gets to TP1, move SL to break even. When price gets to TP2, close 80% of your position and move SL to TP1. Then trail on each TP. BUT, do we add BOTH the following rules to this and exit at which ever one happens first? 1. Exit if 3EMA and 8EMA cross back over so they are in the “wrong” direction. 2. Exit if the RSI goes below 45. Looking forward to hearing your answers on this Mark, because I think this has really got legs!! Thanks, Rob |

Rob, WELL DONE! Caught me right 'off base' there! Going long/short... (EUstoploss, gif) - take the candle you are currently in as candle 1; - count back 3 candles ; - either the pivot or the opening value of candle 4 - + the spread - is the SL. Make sense? Whoops! Sorry! Rob, you have just high-lighted the perils of proof-reading your own work. Apologies to everyone for the confusion. I have now amended my original post. If I put it in dot points it may be clearer. 1. The SL (Stop Loss) is set 3 candles back (see above) + plus spread. (David calls this "The Gap" (TG)). 2. The TG is used as the TS (Trailing Stop). 3. TSs are set at TG multiples. 4. When the PA (Price Action) gets to 2xTG - the SL is moved to BE (Break Even) (TS_TP.jpg) 5. Repeat 4 until the PA reaches a TP level (see below); is stopped out or the trade is closed when the 3/8MA crosses in the opposite direction and/or the RSI breaks back up/down through the 55/45 level. TP levels - M5 - 25/50pips; H1 - 100 & 200; D1 - 500 & 1000 Hope this makes sense. Cheers |

Rob, you are welcome! My greatest challenge so far has been the time available to trade. Not sure where you are. I am GMT+11. Usually my schedule allows me to set up my D1 trades in the morning (local time) and then trade the M5 on the London morning session from 1900 in our evening. E.G. It's now 2233 hours AEDST (1133 GMT). Rob, I read your question as "Will your system work for me? Mate, I can't guarantee that! My motivation is not your motivation. When I started it took me 3 months of day-trading using David's rules to reach the stage that I didn't have to follow David's rules... and then the money started to steadily trickle in. Rob, the best answer I can give is; When ALL the Duck line up I usually make a nice quid or three. Cheers |

Hi Mark, Thanks for that. Question wasn't really will it work for me, but I can see why you'd think that! Hence the "noob" comment! I'm in the UK, so perfect timezone for trading - apart from earning a bl**dy salary keeps getting in the way!! I'm certainly interested in what you are doing here. I particularly like the way you use RSI. So, let's try to keep the thread going, so we can all learn. OK! So that I can learn from you!! Lol!! Cheers, Rob |

Aussiedoc, When you trade this manually do use a program to move your trailing stops or do you do them manually? |

G'day! I use the MYFX console to manage my trades. This is the M5 I took earlier. Forgot to change the MYFX settings from when I was playing over Christmas/New Year: |

Hi Mark, Thanks for posting that. Do you have the correct EMA crossover indicator now? If so, could you post it please? Many thanks, Rob |
