First day trying this. I used TP at 2% and SL at -4% with equity sentry.
Stoploss -4% just closed.

Why would you try to trade on a holiday?

On demo everything is legal

Well, thats why we are testing right? We want to know what will happen on different market conditions. I ran this yesterday even though it is holiday.

It failed to reach my 2% target. But I recorded the behavior using equity recorder. https://www.mql5.com/en/code/9343. See attachment. Red line is the starting equity.

During Tokyo session, it hovered around 0 to -1%. There was almost no action in the beginning of Euro session, then towards the middle of it, it went as high as 1%. Hovered there for several hours. When US session started, there were multiple level trades in place, 2 hours in US Session, it went down abruptly going beyond my 3% stop. Again, Equity Sentry did not close my trades.

. thats why you see steep drop there towards the end.

Im beginning more and more convinced that I should stop this before or around 2 hours in the USD Session.

I got my second 4% stoploss. No 2% winning baskets so far after 2 days (demo of coarse).
The new open trades is currently at -1.1%.

Yours is diffrent than mine. See attached picture. Red line is starting equity. My trade stayed almost always in profit. It went to 2 to 2.5% profit in the first hours of Euro Session. At the start of NY Session, it went to below 0%. Then it went back up to 2.5%. It never went to 3% profit though.

Yesterday's session, is the classic PPOS4H behavior I have been seeing in the past few days. From now on, I will no longer close my trades in demos since I am using equity recorder anyway. This allows me to see the entire behavior starting from Tokyo to end of NY session. At the time of this writing, Im about to start my Tokyo session. Closed all the trades yesterday at 2+% profit.

Are you using appropriate lot sizing? Because my basket is only -0.3%...
