I forgot to add to my previous post that I have added the MaxHedgeProfitPips input to the hedging section. I have 72 trades in a hedged eu position, and 64 on gj. The dynamic tp looks a tad on the large side, so I wanted to cap it at 100.

I also have a big hedged position, wonder what a starting gap will do.SteveHopwood » Sun Mar 06, 2016 12:44 pm wrote:I forgot to add to my previous post that I have added the MaxHedgeProfitPips input to the hedging section. If the gap is big enough, all corresponding pendings will fill at the openingprice.
If that doesn't kill the position, and the gap is on the right side (where the majority of orders are), the position might close in big profit.
Just 3 hours left....

Well, trading has started Sunday evening GMT and I decided to run a brand new demo account with the figures I hope to trade live next week. For this week's test, I am running the GBP/JPY all week with a EUR 200 demo deposit at EUR 10 hedge TP. What I am attempting to find out is how profitable will this be and also is a small EUR 200 account able to handle any DD that occurs.
Results to be posted when Friday has closed.
If this has positive results, on my 0.01 lot sizes, this might be my set and forget trading method as I think I spend way too much time on the computer and not enough time to enjoy life.
Here's to hoping it works well.

$200,- might be a little optimistic. What leverage do you get?
I've seen DD of $100,- last week.
Today started good already, 4 baskets á $10,- closed and some single orders.
Up 4.4% for the day already.
Running 3 pairs now; EURUSD, GBPJPY and NZDUSD.

Not that it will make a huge difference but this is 200 Euros instead of USD. Thing is I really want to get something going, this is why I am only running one pair. My leverage is 100:1Gertje » Mon Mar 07, 2016 8:56 am wrote:$200,- might be a little optimistic. What leverage do you get?

Here is what it has done overnight. I am more than happy so far.
But seriously though when you think about this, if you can manage the DD, this is a fail safe way to trade. It can only follow the market price wherever it goes. There are no good or bad signals. You could only be unlucky in a volatile situation that DD would get you but so long as your hedge TP is set low and your lot size accordingly, then it really can't go wrong with something like this.
I personally am going to stick to only the GBP/JPY and as the account grows, just increase the lot size. I've got a plan in my head already that the more my account will build, the less I am going to expose myself.

Sorry for all this extra posting on the thread but I am closely monitoring this EA and I have noticed something.
There seems to be a hell of a lot of positions opening up for the same traded price range. I have read and re-read this thread to make sure I am not just acting like a newbie (although I kinda am
)
It would seem to me that the L4 on opposite grid should be set to "false" if I want to keep my DD lower.
Anybody else seeing this and are of the same opinion? I just think the less open positions within the same range, the better to keep DD low.

Set L4 to 'false' and you get lesser DD, but it takes longer to recover when price goes against the majority of positions.
A better option in my opinion is to make the pip-distance between trades bigger.
I set GBPJPY to 5pips, and get 'less' trades. Right now 13 buy and 12 sell. Since the winning side most of the time is twice the # of orders of the losing side, one or the other needs to open 6-7 trades again before being able to close.

V 1f is in post 1.
I just sat and watched a hedged EU basket hurtle past its 64 pip take profit without being closed, so I took a look at the code and saw instantly why not.
