That is my fault; I forgot to include the link either in post 1 here or in the user guide. I will correct both later.

Download it from http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =88&t=3964 You are looking for hgi_lib.ex4 about two thirds of the way down post 1. It goes in your crapform's Libraries folder.

Make sure you subscribe to Bob's thread folks, so you do not miss update announcements. All HGI stuff is time-limited and will stop working once the end date is reached.

Hi, I've been testing a bit with this EA and I really like the way this EA works, thanks for the hard work! But I ran into a problem:

Is anybody else using the "Whole position as basket take profit" option? My positions don't seem to close even though I get the alert "All trades should have closed".

Looking at the code it hits the 'CloseAllTrades(AllSymbols, AllTrades);' function, because I get the alert, but positions do not close. I've been looking at the code, but i don't understand why it does not close.

I've disabled (and enabled) all the offsetting and breakeven options, but it does not seem to work.

While writing this I've narrowed down the problem to line 1740 in the CountOpenTrades() function:

If you remove this line the trades start to close. Unfortunately i cannot test further now, because the trades have closed .

EDIT: please do not do this this to your own EA, I may have found the problem, but removing the line probably is NOT the solution

Nice one Erik. Your solution is hopeless and will bugger up absolutely everything else, but it did point me towards a bloop I made.

There is an incorrect function call in bool LookForEntirePositionClosure()

Peasants, your fix is in V 1j in post 1.

Un-peasants, so a search for: "Alert("Candle Power has hit its whole position basket take profit. All trades should have closed.");"

In the code that follows, you will see this line of code three times:
CloseAllTrades(AllSymbols, AllTrades);

They need replacing with:
CloseAllTradesBelongingToEA();

You will see the difference if you look at the CloseAllTradesBelongingToEA() function.

Then do a search for this string: "//In case any global order close/delete failed"
You will see two more code lines calling the incorrect function, so replace them with CloseAllTradesBelongingToEA();

I coded this as a separate function because it is easier than trying to adapt calls to the existing CloseAllTrades() to a global trade closure failure - then forgot.

Thank you, this should allow for running multiple HGB-CP-MTF EA's in the same Empty4 client, i hope, as long as i set the magic numbers. Running a VPS with 3 different settings now, let's see what happens.

I'm testing the basket functionality with the assumption that the HGI signals are right more often than wrong. The basket should take care of the losers, so i disabled the offsetting and breakeven for 2 of the 3 EA's running now. Small profit targets of 5 and 10, with 0.01 size.
