My bot is trading(EJ) now Steve, I missed the ECN setting.....The bot is looking for the weekly open histogram 2X1 which surprised me since I'm running both TMA slope indi's on the chart....It may be one of the indi's triggering that call...... whip Everything is working well now after I added the WOH 2X1......The bot fills up the experts folder with only one of the slope indi's on the chart.... |

Indicators are weird thingies at the best of times. I am starting to re-evaluate my opinion of custom indi coders in light of Gary's experience trying to code a strength meter and that of the coders providing the stuff we are using to trade 10.2 The coders working on Bob's stuff certainly know what they are doing. I can see nothing in the 10.2 indis that demand that they should be present on the chart, but it looks as though they need to be. I am lucky in that I have recently been able to buy a new computer with silly amounts of ram and a ridiculously fast processor. I am able to load up an entire 10.2 template and add the auto-trader to umpteen charts without the processor even noticing, so I am not sure how all this works on older machines. It is starting to look as though it is necessary to have the entire template loaded up when users add the EA. This is a Empty4/indi thingy that I think I can do nothing about - maybe more clever people here like Matt/sq/Gary etc can suggest differently. For now, all I can offer is my usual: we shall see. |

The 2 indi's I have on the chart now and the 1 in the indi folder will run this bot ATM....I'm not in any trouble in the experts folder.....But I agree the time thing needs work... whip |

Version 1f is in post 1. I saw a post by verb asking me to add an option to enforce the market being the correct side of weekly and monthly pivots. I have done so - details in post 1. I have not applied this to range trading with Bollinger Bands because we are supposed to trade back towards the pivot, so the market has to be the 'wrong' side of these pivots. I cannot find verb's post now. Did you delete it, verb? |

Hi Steve, here is my full post on trend trade types. I have made some improvements to more closely follow what NB has mentioned in the booklets regarding selling rallies in DT and buying dips in UT. I have no change to the daily trade type but have 2 trades types for H4. As follows... H4 Charts – Basic Trade Long Bias D1 TMA Slope 1.4B is >= 0.4 H4 TMA Slope 1.4B is >= 0.4 H4 Weekly Open Histogram 2x1 is > 0 dark-green Price is above monthly pivot and weekly pivot Long Trade Entry after these conditions are met: There is a cross upwards of either the 5 MA shift 1 line or the weekly pivot Take A trades after a dip and resumption of the trend and Slope is = 0.8 u]H4 Charts – A Trade[/u] Long Bias D1 TMA Slope 1.4B is >= 0.4 H4 TMA Slope 1.4B is >= 0.4 H4 Weekly Open Histogram 1x0 is < 0 orange-red. This shows a dip has occurred H4 Weekly Open Histogram 2x1 is > 0 dark-green Price is above monthly pivot and weekly pivot Long Trade Entry after these conditions are met: There is a cross upwards of either the 5 MA shift 1 line or the weekly pivot Regarding the A trade, it's possible that the H4 Weekly Open Histogram has turned in the direction of the bias before the actual trade is entered. This is important since we are looking for the proper setup conditions to buy the dips in a UT or sell the rallies in a DT. Hope this makes sense. I have no changes to the daily trades. |
