Hi Akara,
i'm going to post the set file along with the set file i'm using for MPTM. There is however a problem with the coding of the EA and therefore only MPTM is handling the positions. If you look at the open results in the fxpage book thing you'll notice there is high drama with DD at the moment. it is inevitable in this form of trading and as any EA, this one need s looking after and manual intervention at some time. i have not meddled at all here for a few months i think, i dont htink i have ever meddled actually, but the time is nigh!

please make sure you understand the pivoty settings and 10.2 to be understand what the ea is supposed to be doing and therefore you'll understand how to tweak as we go forward.

I have tried to find the damn code error but still no luck and this has happened on more than one EA. sorry , i'm just not good enough yet. I know Steve will come by, bitch slap me a bit, and then merrily find the error and solve my sleepless nights problem in a flash.

please check forum thread shortly.
regards
cuz
I received a pm from Akara and answered as above quote.

Please take care with the settings and help if you can with the code of the trademanagement section. Somethings wrong there. Errors all the time. Set files included for MPTM and Pivoty V1a.
I see there are some different settings in the set files, I test this way and then look at the results to see which set file to stick with. Remember to check the spread from your crim. If the spread is too high you will get errors so increase the JS and BE settings accordingly if you insist on using high spread pairs.
I also have some pairs using 60TF for Pivoty for test. Let me know your experience if you test the TF's as i have'nt found a suitable one yet. 1440 look sgood so far though. OOTB.
I also use different magic numbers for the pairs just in case.

I also run all the charts on the 1hr TF.

regards and have fun,
cuz

Post subject:  Re: Pivoty Slope

Hi all,
okay, one last ditch effort here, i am straying from Steve's suggestion on the OOTB settings of 15M TF and changing this to 240. As for the slope at 1440 and Leaving half the charts on 0.4 for buy and sell slope settings and the other half on 0.3.

At first glance the results look very good at above 7% on the fxpagething, but looking carefully its all hedge positions closing and very few straight from Pivoty. I'm running with no SL's and TP's now and MPTM is doing the TM with the usual BE at 25/10 and JS at 30 with no addBE option, ie 'false'. Hedging has no SL and a TP of only 15 pips.

Had turned off EA's on this platform recently to try and get the DD down as it was higher then the profit generated, even though the profit shows at +7%. This is the problem here. good profit, but at the expense of DD. Lets see if this works and then we can super-impose the settings onto multibob and the other slope EA's.
